The Seagate 500GB FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-Portable Hard Drive (Black) includes a 500GB GoFlex Ultra-Portable Drive and USB 3.0 interface adapter, which provides up to 10x faster data transfer rates compared to USB 2.0 interfaces. It ensures automatic continuous backup and protects your privacy with powerful encryption software. The GoFlex drive is designed to work with alternate interface upgrade cables (sold separately) for maximum flexibility and increased transfer speeds. This kit includes the USB 3.0 adapter, which is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 interfaces as well. The kit also includes Seagate's Dashboard management tool for easy management of backup schedules and file encryption, as well as viewing drive statistics on your computer. The GoFlex Ultra-Portable Drive is compact and bus-powered for use with laptops and mobile devices. It's also compatible with both PC and Mac operating systems.

After researching the techno sites, we opted for this unit based on the reviews. The hard drive was easy to install, performed exactly as advertised and automatically backed up our entire hard drive with a few clicks of the mouse. As with every other purchase we have ever made from B and H, ordering, tracking and delivery were effortless and as promised. I'm definitely a B and H fan and highly recommend the Seagate Goflex.

Very easy set up, simply plug-and-play and it will install the built-in back up software. of course, you don't have to use it if you choose not to, but it will keep track of changes on your system so that the next time you plug in, it will keep your backed up information up to date. Very fast and responsive, easily portable - what else do you need?
