Weighing only one pound, the AAXA M2 Micro Projector is a versatile and powerful projector for its size. The brilliant 110 Lumen LED light engine uses Vibrant Color technology to generate expressive color reproduction in a compact unit. It is capable of rendering a crisp 100" image on the wall and AAXA has done a good job of accessorizing it with a variety of inputs and features.
Applying a high-speed Liquid Crystal on Silicon microdisplay panel and powerful LED package, the M2 features an image processor that supports up to 1280 x 720 resolution video at 30 frames per second. It also supports several file formats including MP4, MP3, WMA, WAV, AVI, TXT, GIF and JPEG. The M2 receives data through five routes. Internally there is 1GB of storage as well as an SD card slot that accepts up to 16GB of storage for use without any connection. The video inputs accommodate HDMI, VGA and composite A / V with 3.5 mm mini jack. The only audio out is a stereo headphone jack and there is also a 5-pin mini USB port as well.
A USB memory stick can also facilitate standalone playback. The 1W speakers should suffice, but running audio out the mini jack is an option as well. While the M2 gives you an ample balance of performance and portability, there is no battery option, so an outlet must be used at all times. PSP, smartphones and iPods can all be connected to the M2 as well, but require optional cables. The M2 is powerful for its size and you will surely find several applications for its use.

We purchased the projector for some in-office presentation use and for use in trade show booths.
The product works well and is capable for the price point. Connecting from a (Mac) laptop, a USB stick, and using its internal memory all work well.
Brightness was more than we'd expected given it's only 110 lumens (again, which is good for the price). It has been useable in-office, but in the fuller lighting at the trade show it was harder to see, though still viewable.
Pixel density could be better but is typical for the class. Static slides displayed fine, and video played tolerably from the internal memory (fluid motion, no skips, just a bit grainy).
The portability is wonderful. The project itself is very small, and the entire collection packs in a small box, easily fitting in a suitcase or carryone.
If you want something very bright, you'll have to go to something with 10x the lumens or so and loose the portability and pay much more.
The fan noise was noticeable but not bad (who is going to use it in a silent room anyway?).
The tripod that it sits on is flimsy and requires some attention to make it useable and stable.

I would not recommend this for someone that is concerned about photo quality.
After some research online, the articles said this was the best balance between size, luminosity, type legibility and image quality. Size is ok, luminosity is ok but the image quality and type legibility were HORRIBLE! Very blown out highlights, poor type legibility and color quality did not match what was on my screen. All the noodling around with adjustments could not get me where I needed to be.
I am returning this at my earliest convenience. A waste of my time.

Comments about AAXA Technologies M2 Micro Projector:
It has been over a couple of weeks since I bought this one, I am extremely happy with the product. I agree that the fan noise is a bit high but when I connected it to my laptop, I was able to listen well with the laptop speakers. My suggestion is to buy some speakers or a decent headset. There are a lot of settings(brightness, contrast etc) in the projector. The projector is very small, so it's easy to carry. I projected it to a white wall and I normally watch movies during night time and the clarity is superb. Hope this thing lasts forever!!
Cons: Tripod is bad, fan noise is high but it won't be a problem if you are connecting it to speakers or to a laptop.

I use the M2 for work and home viewings with ease and no problems. I could have four of these M2s for the price of a normal larger version projector. Excellent value for money.

I bought this for my law firm. I give presentations to prospective clients and I also wanted to be able to use it in my networking meetings. But I didn't have a lot of room for storage and hate lugging around bulky items. This was perfect. I dimmed the lights a bit to use it in an otherwise well-lit room and it worked terrific.I love the fact that I can just pop in a memory card and don't even have to bring the computer if I don't want to. I just attached it to my tripod and was good to go! I recommend it for people who have to bring something back and forth and don't have the inclination or storage to bring a projector weighing 5 or 6 pounds plus a laptop.

I love my little aaxa projector! I use it as an installation artist, theater director, and for leisure as well. Its small, portable, light, and bright. It has an SD card slot which is great. Only drawback is that it has to be plugged in - no battery power. Otherwise, great handheld projector.
Comments about AAXA Technologies M2 Micro Projector:
Excellent projector for the price. LED lamp, large image size for a room, incredibly small and portable, HDMI, VGA, and RCA (composite) inputs. No zoom, but that is forgiveable. Not super-bright, but not woefully dim, either. This was purchased for movie and slideshow presentations for a youth group and it is ideal.
Pros:
LED lamp requires almost no warm-up or cool-down.
Good selection of inputs.
Great picture size/quality for its size.
Extremely portable.
Cons:
No zoom.
Internal speakers are weak, though there is an available audio output.
No monitor pass-through.
All in all a great option for non-commercial applications.

While there could be some small tweeks to make this device better, for the price and brightness this device is pretty darn good. Hardware wise, I'd give this device 5 stars, but the onboard software takes a bit of learning to get use to which is why I'm lowering it by 1 star, but it's still a great buy in my opinion.

Comments about AAXA Technologies M2 Micro Projector:
I never knew the larger projectors had something called keystone in them that allows you to square away the image when the projector is at an angle. It was driving me nuts when I couldn't understand what was going on with the other micro projectors that I had purchased and then I was pointed to this one. While it doesn't have horizontal keystoning, it does have vertical which is nice. So to add on to other people who say this is bright and useful projector, you can also angle this one, vertically at least, to your desire.

This is a very cool little product with lots of port options etc. I am very impressed that something so small has so much punch.
The only thing I wish I could do is change the color balance/brightness.

I throw a couple of parties every year, for the "main" holidays and im always looking for some fun inexpensive ways to spice things up for the guest… cause I've got a reputation to keep up… ;)
I wanted to be able to provide more of a club lounge feel to this years parties by projecting old B&W and James Bond movies on a couple of walls.
anyway, i got this micro projector cause it was small, inconspicuous, and SUPER bright for its size. I was a bit bummed about the noise of the cooling fans but well worth the trade off for the exeptional image quality.
It was a success!!!! the images looked super great and everyone love it!

I go this to bring with me to our cabin in upstate New york, and was very impressed with it!
We obviously could not pack a TV cause we were flying so we needed another solution that was SMALL!
the fan was a bit noisy but we just hooked up our little travel speakers and BOOM we were watching movies in no time!

I got the M2 to use for watching movies and TV shows outputted from my laptop when I'm on the road. It's not going to replace my 60" LCD at home, but I can't put my LCD in a carry-on bag either. I love all the different connectivity options (I use mostly the HDMI) but would like more powerful speakers (I usually endup using the headphone output).

Great resolution and picture after adjusting contrast and brightness way down. Had to return as fans are so L O U D ! ! ! that I was unable to hear anything elce going on in room. Would have to yell over noise from fans if using for a presentation. Forget about using for television projector as I was going to to in my bedroom as a replacement for my Mitsubishi HS10. Purchased a LG HX300G which has same resolution, low power use and great picture with quiet fans.

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant to purchase this product. Lets just get some of them out of the way:1. Big power supply - True2. Not that bright - True3. Loud Fan - Not really4. Not readable type - False5. Awkward user interface - TrueOverall I like this projector, it's very small and portable, and at [$] bones with 15,000 hour LEDs it fits my budget nicely. The onboard menu is awkward, but I am using it mostly to hook up to the HDMI port of my laptop so it doesn't bother me as much. The color quality is good but for this projector to truly shine you need to turn the lights off - 110 Lumens just doesn't cut it with the lights on. As for the characters being fuzzy or not legible, I had the same problem under I turned down my display resolution to 1024x768, the native resolution of the projector, then everything was crisp. The fan noise is not really a problem at all, I don't know why there are so many complaints about it.

After reading some reviews, I thought I should add my .02 to this. I would have to agree that the user interface is not as intuitive as we would like but I sat down to learn it, it just takes a little effort. Whatever questions I had, the tech support department at AAXA patiently guided me in how to use this projector. I would have only given this 4 stars, but their outstanding support makes it a 5 because I am not alone when I own this projector.
Maybe I may not have as much experience as other users who purchased this, but for the price and my pleasure needs, this projector fit the bill nicely.

Comments about AAXA Technologies M2 Micro Projector:
Image is good, with a range of controls on board - but the user interface is really awkward. Fan noise is a considerable minus, as is the size of the power supply (nearly as big as the unit). I compared it to the Optoma 201 (which I believe is rated at 30 Lumens) and it was noticeably brighter, but not enough so to justify the short comings....
Still looking for the ultra compact, but bright and crisp projecting solution...
