Comments about Buffalo 8TB LinkStation Pro Quad LS-QVL/R5 Network Hard Drive Array:
I've only had the 8TB LinkStation Pro Quad for a little over a week. I tested it by hammering it with data and verifying no data corruption for about a week before trusting it and moving data off my old backup NAS.
I have the system setup as a RAID 5 and am using it as the backup destination for my important data from my workstations and server.
The user interface (web UI) is straight forward and easy to figure out if you have a technical background. For those who don't, a read through the manual will help. You need to change the default password and security settings on the default share as a start but other than that it can be used right out of the box.
I haven't found anything I don't like about it yet...
