Comments about LaCie 2-Port Firewire 800 ExpressCard/34 Adapter:
This item was purchased to feed video into a laptop during astrophotography sessions. It goggles up firewire like there is no tomorrow.
Potential customers should be aware that LaCie furnished a photo that hides the 12V input port. It's really there (it's vital) and it works.

I needed to update the firmware on a piece of studio gear (KRK ERGO) that had only firewire ports , but it had to transfer from a computer running 32 bit. My HP notebook is 32 bit but did did not have a firewire jack and the Lacie firewire. adapter worked flawlesly.

Comments about LaCie 2-Port Firewire 800 ExpressCard/34 Adapter:
One of the limitations of Macbook Pros is the single Firewire 800 port -- The LaCie expresscard gives the ability to triple that. This allows me to access/utilize up to three external drives at once, which is often necessary when working in video production. Very Fast, highly recommended.
