Pros: Extremely bright, dimming switch, nice price range, good build quality, and stackable.
Cons: Without a diffuser it is way too bright for both exposure purposes and for the subject's eyes, issues from dimming to a lower level can cause noticeable dslr video related problems (causes lines to cycle through the screen) however this can be surpassed if you shoot at wider apertures such as 2.8 - 1.4.
With all this said. Some have stated the barn doors are flimsy, but I like the ability to remove them with great ease for a very good reason, I needed some sort of a diffuser since the light is so bright I was given the dome diffuser by Gary Fong from a fellow photographer during a wedding reception and it just happened to squeeze perfectly on the frame and diffused the light perfectly.
I recommend these lights greatly, but recommend getting the dome diffuser or something of that nature, and DEFINITELY recommend pulling the batteries out when you store it, since the on/off switch is really easy to bump and often gets turned on in my bag causing me to waste a lot of battery life.

I use this for shooting video.
That is good for wedding and any other events.
Dimmer gives you a chance to change a light for any distance.
But it should have a filter glass for warmer color.
In this case WB you have to put as a temperutare control.

Comments about Polaroid LED Video Light Panel:
I have a DSLR and thought this would be more useful than a flash. I was partly right. Since I don't own a flash other than the built in one, it is, but unnecessary. There is no denying it is a great LED panel. I say another one in a store that has a controllable temperature (the light colour) but this one does not. It emits the one colour, brilliant white at 5600K, but you can tone down the power. Some batteries will not allow it to go straight to full power, either. The hotshoe can be removed and put on any of the sides, as it does not interact with the camera, however will block you from using the built in flash if you decide to connect it. Video cameras are the only use I can think of for this, unless you can mount it on a tripod. Other than the question of wether or not you need it, it is close to half what I would have paid in-store. Still a great buy.

This lamp produces flicker waves on my 5D when shooting in NTSC country, on 24 fps. The only shutter speed I can use is 1/60 to avoid it.

Comments about Polaroid LED Video Light Panel:
It's hard to describe my attitude to this lighting. It does it's job, but it has some cons. It shines bright with nice daylight color.
First of all, it uses 5 AA batteries. Not 4, but 5. Usually a charger takes only 4 batteries. It doesn't run up to 8 hours. With full-charged 5 AA batteries it runs not more than 1.5-2 hours in smallest dimmer position (i use Duracell batteries with 2650 mAh capacity).
It's not fully dimmable. Even in smallest amount, the lighting still stays very bright, and you must use the iris of the camera to regulate the light amount.
Dimmer's switch is very long and may broke.
Also there's a atrange sound when the lighting is on. In silent places the sound is being recorded.
I use it with Sony AX2000E, and when the lighting is mounted on hot shoe, you can't close the LCD monitor, So you should purchase a swivel shoe adapter.

I shoot in low lit rooms all the time.
I needed a light besides a standard flash.
Works well with video or stills.

Comments about Polaroid LED Video Light Panel:
I partnered this LED light fixture with my Panasonic 700K HD video camera. The light will not disappoint. It provides about a 10-foot spread at 10-feet from the subject, plenty wide enough for HD cameras. Human subjects will complain about its brightness, so turn the dimmer control to lower the brightness; the camera's auto white balance will take care of the color difference and the auto exposure will adjust for the lower light level. This result is high quality HD video.

Very nice product considering it's price. Adds just the right amount of light for shooting video within a 10 foot range.

Comments about Polaroid LED Video Light Panel:
This is a good LED light for everyday video shooting. The price is also right. However, because it does not come with any kind of filters, the bright light may cause some "actors/actresses" feel uncomfortable. Dimmer and power switches are protruding out of the light body which may have potential to break.

The night was pitch dark in San Juan del Sur, a popular resort area in Nicaragua's Pacific side.
The moon was hiding, just to make my job harder. With a little flash light I attached the light panel and flipped its switch on.
Wow!
The beach was instantly lit for about 40-50 feet. I used this the whole night for about 3 hours and it still lit up the entire beach. The party was awash in even light and lots of great pictures proved to me how great little product this really is. I'm going to buy 2 more to light up my evening scenes.
