The Lorex LH328501C4T22B Edge DVR System (8-channel) is a complete security system for indoor and outdoor surveillance purposes, and includes an embedded Linux-based 500 GB (expandable to 2 TB) DVR, a 21.5” touch screen LCD Monitor, and 4 CVC6996 Cameras. The 21.5” touch screen LCD monitor supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 pixels. Once configured using the Lorex Easy Connect Internet Setup Wizard, the video recorded by the DVR can be viewed remotely on Blackberry (9000 & above), iPhone, Android-based phones (version 1.5 & above), and Windows Mobile (6.0 & above) smart-phones, and on a web browser on your PC or Mac. The EDGE design of the DVR system allows it to be used as a stand-alone device or to be mounted onto a wall, or on to the 21.5” LCD (requires clear access to the VESA mounting holes). It offers H.264 compression that helps reduce video file sizes without compromising on the quality and integrity of images, and ensures that the DVR can store a large amount of recorded video. The DVR offers enhanced 3D graphics and video, and supports VGA resolutions of up to 640 x 480 pixels per channel. It has a compact size and supports PTZ cameras. Pentaplex operation allows you to view, record, play back, back up, and remotely control the system simultaneously. DVI/VGA output allows the DVR to be connected to LCD PC or TV monitor with DVI/VGA input. Recordings can be continuous, scheduled, or may be set to begin on motion detection. Firmware upgrades, backups, and image transfer can be carried out via the included USB port. A mouse, remote control, or the provided front panel controls can be used for navigation. Instant email alerts and free Lorex DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Service) offer enhanced remote connectivity. The LH328501C4T22B comes with 4 CVC6996 cameras, each of which is equipped with an Advanced Image Sensor (AIS) that produces enhanced quality video at 480 TVL. IR cut filter enables the cameras to switch between color and B&W as per changes in ambient lighting and a 5.1mm Pure Flat lens helps eliminate image distortion. 30 high intensity IR LEDs help to provide night vision viewing of up to 75’ (23m) in ideal conditions. Day/Night mode automatically switches the camera to B&W mode in case of low lighting conditions, thus providing better clarity. Being weatherproof, the cameras are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. The included stand provides wall, ceiling, and counter mounting options. All 4 cameras receive power via a 4-in-1 power adaptor.
