ColorRight Pro Color Balancing Tool
The ColorRight Pro Color Balancing Tool is a step up from their Classic model. The advantage here is that the Pro model works with flash. Not only does it work with flash but it measures from multiple angles to insure an accurate reading. Whether using it with a shoe mounted flash or simple pop up version, the ColorRight Pro uses its Intelligent Light Technology to gather information from the whole image - even if you point it at something like a dark log.
No need to buy multiple versions to use with different lenses. The unit is universal. The small and lightweight tool work with a wide variety of cameras and lenses. It's small enough to store in your gear bag. It sets up easily and is guaranteed to be spectrally neutral to a very high tolerance.

This tool does work for correcting WB and it works well. However, this is soft plastic and it is relatively large and incompressible. This is sold without any storage container or without even a pouch.[...]This is a very expensive and cumbersome way to custom white balance your camera.

Although I shoot in RAW file format where WB can be adjusted in post using LR or PSE, I like using the ColorRight WB Tool when shooting HDR where you want the best WB at the time the bracketed shots are taken.

I was skeptical at first, but after the first time I used it, I quickly became a believer. This thing really does work! Its so easy to use. If you have color balancing issues, or just don't want to do as much color correction in post, this tool is a must for any photographer. It takes the hassle of having an assistant hold a grey card for you. Highly recommend. Should be in everyone's kit.

I used it every week and it has produced excellent results everytime, not sure what your customer with the neg review is doing or using but it can not be the same tool!

I did use this tool once but I did not find it all that helpful. The dark area on the bottom of the dome shows as a dark shadow on camera LCD instead of a uniform grey. A grey card works better than that. I think this tool is far too expensive for what it does and not worth the money. Get a grey card for a lot less that will work just as well if not better. I returned the tool and B&H refunded my money.
