The Live! Cam Socialize HD 1080 from Creative is a sterling quality webcam with a built-in stereo mic and a number of features that make it great for blogging, chatting, and taking photos. If you are just taking photos, the webcam will produce them at an interpolated 12 megapixels. Beyond photos, you can record and edit crisp, sharp, blog-worthy videos at the webcam's highest resolution of HD 1080p. For video chatting or video calls, the camera captures up to 30 frames a second at a resolution of HD 720p and features built-in dual stereo microphones with noise cancellation and beam forming technology. Because of these two technologies, the microphones remove ambient noise so that the audio you intend to record or stream is clear. To ensure high-quality video all around, this webcam utilizes a wide-angle lens to provide a wider field of vision than many other webcams. Working in tandem with this lens is also an autofocus technology that automatically adjusts the lens' focus to ensure that video is sharp and never blurry or fuzzy.
Along with the webcam, Creative's included their free Live! Scan and Live! Central 3 software bundle.* Live! Scan allows you to manage your business cards and documents easily. Take a shot of a name card or document and the software automatically extracts the details before converting them into text files. Edit your contacts, categorize them or even export them to Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Lotus Notes or VCard for quick and fast emailing.
Live! Central 3 conveniently allows you to share your HD video or pictures on Facebook or Youtube with just a click of a button. Image Was so Bright, I couldn't make out my nose on my face! Tried every adjustment the software provided...Couldn't tune it out. Obviously this was a Defective piece but decided to go with a Logitech C910 instead (much better cam)!!
