Comments about Vixen Optics HF5x17DCF Compact Binocular:
Image is extremely clear and sharp, field of view and magnification just about perfect for Met Opera from our seats in Dress Circle. Extremely compact and no burden to carry during our walks in the city. They appear to be superior to our Cannon binoculars that have the same optical properties (5X17) and same shape. They are however, a bit pricey relative to the Cannon (I lost one, hence the purchase).

Comments about Vixen Optics HF5x17DCF Compact Binocular:
I purchased these same binoculars many years ago under a different brand name. I have used them many times at football and basketball games, and I cannot rave about them too much. They are excellent optically and mechanically, have a wide field of view, give a relatively bright image, and have remained in perfect collimation despite being dropped onto pavement. They are so light you can just hang them around you neck and you don't even know they are there. These binoculars will be among your most prized possessions.
