The Sescom LN2MIC-PCDM50 Line to Microphone Attenuation Cable measures 9" inches in length, features dual 1/8" (3.5mm) TRS mini male connections and a built-in 35dB attenuation pad. The cable is intended to connect the line level output of pocket digital recorders such as the Sony PCMD50 and Samson Zoom H4N, to the microphone inputs of compatible DSLR cameras (see compatibility list below). Comments about Sescom LN2MIC-PCDM50 Line to Microphone Attenuation Cable:
hooked it up to my new behringer mixer and canon hfm 300 camera. The videos made from the behringer in line mixer, ever since I hooked it up to my hf m 300 video camera, continuiously makes a buzzing sound like the sound of it not be grounded (it is grounded) and I was told this would stop the noise. It didn't stop it and I need to return it. My cheap radio shack mixer doesn't make noise when I use it with the hfm 300.

JSYK: anyone can make one of these cables themselves: it's just a regular 1/8" male to male stereo cable with a resister soldered in-line. But I hate getting messy, so if you're like me then you will appreciate the convenience of this cable. It is well constructed and labelled appropriately to let you know which end to stick where.
The cable could be a tad longer, but it's meant to be short as it connects a mounted recording device to your dSLR, a situation where you really don't want long cables.
Anyway, if you don't feel like making one yourself, then this is a fine purchase.

Use this cord to connect your recorder (Zoom H4N is a great option) to your camera for easy and clear on board recording.
