The Raynox HDP-2800ES High Definition 0.28x Diagonal Fisheye Conversion Lens is a compact, 3-group/3-element converter lens that provides an ultra-wide angle of view on HD camcorders and digital still cameras. When you need more dynamic shots, especially for effects and extreme sports, the HDP-2800ES widens and distorts your camera's point-of-view. Providing vignette-free images through zoom ranges up to 5x, the lens screws easily onto a 52mm filter thread, or--using one of the included adapter rings--a 37mm or 43mm filter thread. This makes the HDP-2800ES compatible with an especially large range of popular HD camcorders and DSLR lenses.

For the price.. this fisheye lens does everything you would expect one to do. However.. I haven't had a chance to look at the quality images of fisheye footage from more expensive lens's on higher end cameras... but I would assume those would have much better quality than this one here.
A benefit in my opinion though is that since the camcorder is relatively small, the extra weight of the fisheye lens gives it much better stability and range of movement than its bigger counterparts. So to sum it up if you can't afford the higher end cameras for fisheye footage, then this setup will work just fine.
