Canon's imagePROGRAF iPF825 Large Format Printer is a high-capacity dual roll printer designed to handle very heavy workloads. Created with the technical documents market in mind the 44" wide iPF825 outputs full-color renderings with precise detail. GIS maps, CAD, MCAD, and ECAD drawings and documents are just a few examples of the caliber of printing the imagePROGRAF can handle. The included media basket catches prints during long runs, and an optional stacker can be purchased for offloading prints and handling exceptionally large jobs.
The iPF825 has a built-in 160GB hard drive and on-board support for HP-GL/2 and HP RTL to keep the work moving, while Canon's L-COA processor enables print speeds up to 688 feet per hour. L-COA allows for precise, fast lay down of ink that optimizes readability and color accuracy. Canon's Reactive Ink system puts down a beautiful 5 color dye/pigment that features 2 channels of matte black ink. Creation of fine lines, scratch and marker resistance, and minimal bleeding are just a few of the benefits of this ink technology. The ink is applied via Canon's high-density print head. This print head has 15,360 nozzles that put down 4 picoliter-size ink droplets for 2,400 x 1,200 output and accuracy.
Other proprietary Canon features include the Accounting Manager function. This function allows you effectively manage printing costs and data by tracking how much ink and paper are being consumed, recording the job name and owner, recording the number of completed pages, and many other options. This data can be exported to a .csv format for Microsoft Excel - to help you track and keep your costs under control. In addition to the Accounting Manager, you can also make use of the economy print mode. This mode reduces ink consumption, bringing down the total cost of printing across the board.
Canon's Printer Driver keeps work moving along with a number of features. Windows and Mac drivers provide accommodations like one-touch borderless printing, expanded color settings, and page setup options, while Real Preview ensures the print settings are correct with a real time preview. Another useful feature, imageRUNNER lets you transfer data from a Color imageRUNNER device to the imagePROGRAP at the touch of a button. In addition to these functions, PosterArtist Lite puts the power to create posters in your control with just 4 steps and HDI Driver for AutoCAD creates graphically accurate drawings of printed data.

The Accounting Manager serves as a powerful feature, used for accurate management of printing costs and other information that is increasingly important in today's economic environment. With Accounting Manager feature you can track how much ink and paper is being consumed when printing large format output. Costs can be assigned to the ink and paper to determine expenses based on your own "cost of goods". Each individual ink tank can have its own cost associated to it, as well as a variety of different paper types. The user can also input a variable cost that will be added to the total of the print cost. The data is exportable to a .csv format for Microsoft Excel so the data can be used for billing purposes. This feature will allow you to determine the cost of each print based on your actual cost
