Comments about KRK KNS 8400 Closed-Back Around-Ear Stereo Headphones:
I've tried countless models of headphones over the years, and spent a considerable amount of time trying to find the best headphones for monitoring and mixing available. The KRKs give the clearest, most accurate reference I've ever heard, revealing even the most subtle details that are normally lost in other headphones. I have a project studio at home in a "less-than-ideal" room, and these headphones have made mixing a pleasure!

Comments about KRK KNS 8400 Closed-Back Around-Ear Stereo Headphones:
I was looking for a set of headphones for use on the road. I bought these after reading a lot of headphone reviews on recording/musicians/technical forums. I often do a lot of audio editing on my laptop on commutes to and from the studio and on trips. I was looking for something with a a flat frequency response, offered good isolation from ambient noise and also fit my laptop case. The KNS 8400s offered all of these features and more! I was even able to notice details in my mixes that I did not hear in the studio. I even did some tweaking on my mixes which when played back in the studio sounded fine. I am also a performing musician (bass player) so I needed a good set of cans that I can use for late night practicing, and these fit the bill perfectly. The cable and the removable in line attenuator feel a bit on the "lightweight" side but so far-so good. The attenuator can be removed and not used at all (I already have stored it in a safe place, and I am pretty sure that I will forget where that is, and I will not miss it-KRK could have left it off and sell the phones for a few bucks cheaper) . The cable uses a stereo mini jack on both ends and, on the headphone side, it twist locks into place-a better idea may have been to not have it lock, so that if the cord was accidently kicked, pulled, rolled over by a caster on a chair it would release and not cause potential damage (like older break away Sennheiser cables). All in all a great buy and highly recommended!!!

I have bought this just because i have a studio in my basement, I have done some sound proofing but still wasn't satisfied, on spending more towards sound proofing material, I decided to go for the KRK studio monitoring headphones so that I could do my work more comfortably without disturbing the neighborhood, the best thing is that I do not get any complains about being loud any more, I have multiple choice of monitors to select from as i use a VRM box with this and both of them make a great combo, this is very user friendly, doesn't give you hard time putting on your ears for long, and last but the best, the sound quality you get is just amazing, 100% recommended to all the people who are quality conscious.

The product is amazing!!! When I used the headphones, I'm immerse in the sounds. The headphones brings out the sound that I would not usually have heard in other headphones. It's clear and crisp and it sounds like your in a live concert. Compared to beats by dre headphones, i love this way more and you get more for the price as well.

I produce electronic music using Ableton and was looking for a good set of Headphones to use throughout the entire process of producing, mixing, and mastering. These things sound amazing, are built well, and are all around comfortable. Which is everything I could have asked for. The cables disconnect from the Headphones, and they fold flat for easy storage and portability. They also run at low enough ohms to be used by an portable media device are perfectly acceptable levels. There is nothing I don't love about these headphones. And for [$] they were a steal!
