The Aquatica Underwater Housing for Nikon D3/D3x/D3s with Dual Nikonos Bulkheads and Aqua View Finder can get you in the water with your Nikon D3 right away. It features a design that allows for quick removal for storage and transportation, a body of anodized aluminum, and exposed glass made of corrosion-resistant material. The included Aqua View Finder shows a 1.3" magnified view of the full actual DSLR finder. LCD information in the camera's viewfinder is readily available when shooting.
The housing is machined from a solid block of lightweight military-grade anodized aluminum that's been finished with a tough weather- and wear-resistant powder coating, and it's rated to 300' (90 m). It features dual bulkhead connectors for operating a strobe in manual mode. The housing provides easy access to all photography functions, and it has the same mounting bayonet that accepts existing Aquatica accessories and ports, including the Megadome and the remote control cord (available separately).

- Bayonet Port
- A positive four-point bayonet mounting and locking mechanism leaves no doubt that your ports are securely in place and watertight. The bayonet system dome, macro ports and extension rings offer the fastest and most comprehensive access to the lenses for rapid lens changing without having to remove the camera from the housing. This housing allows use of lenses from a 10mm/180° fisheye lens to a 200mm macro lens. Tele-converter port extensions are also available separately.
- Port Locking Mechanism
- A port locking mechanism is integrated in the Aquatica D3 housing; this lock is accessible from the exterior of the housing making port changing a breeze.
- Menus
- Buttons have been angled 20° and extended when needed for better ergonomics--knobs are grooved and knurled for optimum operation even when wearing thick gloves.
- Aqua View Finder & Stock Finder
- Aqua View Finder and stock finder both included. Allowing quick & easy removal for storage and transportation, the Aqua View Finder displays a large viewing area of 1.5". Its exposed glass is made of corrosion-resistant material and the body is made of hard anodized aluminum
- Live View
- The Aquatica D3 housing gives the user access to the Live View feature of the Nikon D3 camera--an oversized Live View access button is located right under the Set/Record lever for a quick and precise reaction sequence when shooting video.
- Controls
- Fingertip access to all camera menus and video controls includes On-Off, Live View mode, Record On/Off, Exposure Mode, bracketing, meter positioning and focus control, AF activation and lock access via a single easy access lever. Access to all menu features includes Review, Enlarge and Delete, Histogram and internal SLR preferences.
- Lens Release
- A lever is provided for easy lens changing through the front port with the camera installed.
- Standard Nikonos Type Bulkheads
- External manual flash-ready using 2 single Nikonos-type sync cords.
- Remote Control
- Remote control access is built into all Aquatica housings. It takes but a few moments for the photographer to complete the remote operation setup for using the optional #19300 remote control
