The BBC Historical Sound Effects Library from Sound Ideas is a massive collection of over 15,700 royalty-free sound effects that provide diverse sonic events from all over the world. Everything from Chinese fireworks, cathedral ambiences, WWII acrobatic dog fights, clocks, footsteps, horses, and much more are provided. In all, you receive the content from the original BBC Sound Effects Library discs 1-166, and the entire unreleased EC series of sound effects.
The effects are delivered as 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV files for wide compatibility. The files are stored on a compact external hard drive that's compatible with Mac and PC systems. Metadata is also included to quickly seek out and find particular effects. The library's metadata is compatible with MetaDigger, Pro Tools, AVID, Final Cut Pro, Soundminer, BaseHead, and other asset management systems.
