The Eigenlabs Basestation Pro is a power supply and USB-to-Host interface that powers and connects Eigenharp series instruments to a computer. The Basestation also increases USB signal strength so that long cable runs of up to 78' (24m) can successfully transfer data without any loss. The Basestation Pro differs from their standard Basestations by having an internal power supply (eliminating wall warts), and 1/4" phone connections for footswitch, expression and control pedals. A future hardware upgrade will include MIDI I/O connections for connecting external MIDI compatible devices.
- The Basestation Pro provides power and communicates between the Eigenharp instruments and your computer, allowing a much longer (up to 24m) and more robust cable than standard USB permits
- Built in power supply that connects directly to the mains instead of the external "wall wart" style of power supply that the basic Basestation uses
- Quarter inch jack inputs for two standard footswitches which can be either latching or momentary (momentary such as the Yamaha FC4 usually being more useful)
- Quarter inch jack input/output pairs for two continuous control pedals. These can be either volume pedals (such as the Boss series) or the new Yamaha FC3 sprung continuous pedal. These can be used to change various parameters on the Eigenharp in real time, adding many expressive possibilities
