It is fade resistant In addition, this paper handles extremely well and will tolerate occasional variances in image processing better than other papers. Comments about Fujifilm Crystal Archive Type II Paper (11 x 14", Luster, 100 Sheets):
I've purchased Fuji's Type II Lustre paper now and have either coincidentally gotten the two "bad" batches, or they are producing very low quality paper for color darkroom processing.
At first I assumed the problem was with the processor, but I tested other paper and did not have the same problem. The problem is that the black is not a true black and it in fact looks like it has a speckled muddy lightness to it. It is really awful if you have any large areas of black in your image.

Comments about Fujifilm Crystal Archive Type II Paper (11 x 14", Luster, 100 Sheets):
I'm an undergraduate student of photography in a film-based curriculum, and I chose this paper for my color film class.
I love it. A lot of my images from the semester had a limited color palette, and the luster paper worked better with this muted limited palette.
There is a bit of texture to the paper as compared to the glossy or matte that I appreciate as well.
If you really want a paper that is going to make your color scream out, you'd probably prefer glossy.

Comments about Fujifilm Crystal Archive Type II Paper (11 x 14", Luster, 100 Sheets):
I was angry at Fuji discontinuing Super C without notice and as a result had to move to Type II [...] Fuji is a terrible company at notifying consumers about their products. However, this paper is really good. I was told at school that it wasn't as good as Super C but for my photographs it's actually better than Super C. I have a much easier time in the darkroom dialing in the correct color with Type II. Also the lustre is only slightly glossier than matte and looks great. I find printing easier so I heartily recommend Type II Luster paper! However be aware that instead of two packages in the box, there is only one and no backing board so the paper is pretty floppy in the package. Fuji is cheapening up on us as well.
