Comments about Cakewalk SONAR X1 Producer - Music Production Software (Educational Discount):
I really like sonar x1, the entire program has an excellent take on the DAW production workflow. I am very happy with the layout and everything. However, it seems to me that there is an endless flow of bugs with even the latest x1b release. It's gotten to the point that my project is crashing two or three times a day and im either having to restart my computer or im having to restart sonar. I've found myself going back to FLStudio despite the fact that Im not a huge fan of its workflow or its audio recording methods (which is why I picked up sonar) because I know it is stable and it's not going to crash or destroy my project. If they get the bugs figured out Sonar will be the best daw I've ever used (ive used ableton, cubase, sonar, flstudio, logic, and acid), but in its current state, I find it too risky to use for anything serious.
