Four gigabytes of internal flash memory, a 3.0" touch screen LCD, a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 70x Extended zoom and more make up the Sony DCR-SX65 Flash Memory Camcorder. Easy on your wallet, this standard definition camera provides functions and features not found on comparable pocket camcorders, while still giving you the option of simple uploading to social media sites.
Other shooting controls include image stabilization for a stable image, Intelligent Auto for automatic scene selection, and Face Detection which ensures everyone in the shot looks their best. Of course, the SX65 has other numerous features meant to make recording your memories hassle-free - Film Roll Index, Direct Copy, and a built-in video all go even further to make your recording a pleasurable process, not drudgery. When you're done shooting the aforementioned editing software - Sony's Picture Motion Browser - helps you finalize your videos in a number of ways, share your video, and archive it.

When it's time to play back video, simply search for what you want by selecting from among the detected faces displayed in the index

I had a great time recording with the product. I am not tech savvy and found it easy to use. It powered up in a hurry! I hope to record the rest of the events for my daughter's senior year in high school. She is musically gifted and we will enjoy going back and listening to all her performances again, and sharing them with family.
However, the directions in the guide book did not help me when I wanted to switch the recording from the internal memory to the SD card. I needed a friend to search the on-board menu, play around with it and she finally got it to switch.
