The Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder not only gives you full 1920 x 1080/60p high def recording, it also comes equipped with a built-in GPS receiver and 32GB of internal flash memory. You'll have hours upon hours of storage, the ability to track where you took your videos, which is great for archiving and geo-tracking, and you'll have the clarity of full high definition. Could you want anything more?
While there might be numerous answers to that question, when it comes to consumer video, the CX360V is out to compete for your affection. In addition to the 32GB memory, the camera also features slots for Sony's proprietary memory stick media and for SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. At the heart of the camera, the 'Exmor R' CMOS sensor is the center of all the CX360V's pixel power. Along with the sensor's ability to provide progressive HD, it's also back-illuminated, which allows for a high level of low light sensitivity. Basically, the camera boasts excellent low light video.
Of course, helping the CX360V shoot all that impressive video and capture stunning stills are the likes of a lens, LCD, and other expected features. This cam has a Wide Angle G lens, a 3.0" touch screen LCD, optical image stabilization, and 17x Extended zoom. Additionally, Dolby Digital 5.1 channel recording helps to capture sound from all directions for all encompassing audio that's truer to the way you hear sounds in real life.
The shooting controls on the camcorder help to take the guesswork out of recording - leaving you free to enjoy the moment, instead of futzing with the camera. Intelligent Auto is just one example of how the CX360V makes recording easier. This feature automatically determines the right combination of settings for your situation. Other highlights of the camera include microphone and headphone jacks, an Active Interface Shoe, and Sony's Clear Phase stereo speakers for excellent audio even when there is no external microphone attached.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
While there are better, and more costly, HD video cameras on the market, Sony's HDR-CX360V is a good product for the money. It is simple to use (especially with a Mac), and its built-in USB cord is very convenient and a nice feature.
The user interface is clean and simple, but as with any software, will take some getting used to. It's easy to review and delete clips, however. I've hardly used the user's manual at all.
Battery life is excellent, and the screen is crystal clear. The light on the HDR-CX360V is not as good as some of the other cameras but is sufficient for most general users. The ability to add lights and microphones is a definite plus.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
Would love to give this 5 stars, but the interface is clunky. Only complaint. I had an older sony with touchscreen and it was much faster to use, this interface is clunky and you basically have to have it set up before you shoot - good luck changing manual exposure after you hit "rec" for example.
OTHER THAN THAT - this camera is perfect. The HD video blows people's minds - especially right off the camera to your favourite HD set. GPS tagging is a cool and somewhat useful feature - the fact it has built in maps really wows folks. I love how bomb-proof it is with built in memory, and have taken it hunting and used it a LOT outdoors. Currently using it for marketing and promo videos and it has been great. Just small enough to fit in a big pocket too, which is really useful.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
Used for event videography and family videos. Excellent ergonomics. Superb video quality. Excellent still quality. Like the flexibility of microphone input and headphone output jacks. Only complaint is very SLOW upload speed of video from the camcorder to computer. It takes longer to upload files than it took for my analog or mini cassette digital camcorder for similar scene length. I would recommend the camcorder to a friend (and have).

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
Extremely impressed with this camera so far. Love the crisp video, 5.1 surround sound and especially the seamless importing of video to iMovie and Final Cut Pro X. Still haven't used all the features in shooting yet, but have at least tested them and they work. Haven't needed the GPS feature but will be shooting for a project soon in another country so that feature will come in handy.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
Bought it for a USA holiday next year
So far is performing to expectations.
The HD pictures are excellent, if only I can find how to overlay them on Google maps.
Would have liked a longer optical zoom but for the price is still acceptable. Only one with long zoom and GPS is twice the price.
Is a little small for my large hands so have bought the shooting grip which will make it much easier to use. Am very glad I chose this model which is unavailable here in Australia and B & H service couldnt have been better.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
This is another quality product from Sony.
The picture quality is excellient, and the audio is just out of this world. I like the fact AVDHD camcorders are using Dolby 5.1 for audio. This just makes HD video so much better.
This new generation camcorder is significantly smaller and lighter than cameras just 1 generation ago, I find that it fits in my jacket pocket perfectly and is not heavy.
This is my 5th Sony camcorder, all the way from the big carry on shoulders of the early 90's to this.
I purchased this camera for my upcoming trip to Australia and I know I'm going to enjoy this great camcorder.
ps. I do have one concern with ADVHD camcorders in general, it seems most manufactures are doing away with traditional eye viewfinder.
I find this as an important feature expecially recording is bright sunshine because LCD screens are difficult to see in bright sunshine.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
I produce whitewater rafting videos and play them back for customers directly after the raft trip.
The internal flash drive is convenient and holds a lot of video.
The worst thing about it is playback. I am a minority and actually edit in a linear fashion in this case. Slow-motion playback is not smooth like tape base cameras and reverse is atrocious at best. It skips ten frames while reversing.
Another negative is not being able to put video into the camera. I like to put intro credits and an ending "crash and burn" video and there is no way to import video into the camera.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX360V Camcorder:
I have had this camera for about a month now and I really like it. The video is very clear and I don't have it set on the highest setting at the moment. I works well with my Mac computer. I like that I can take still pictures without having to bring my point and shoot camera. The pictures are clear without a whole lot of noise. I am very happy with the purchase.
