Brother MFC-9970CDW Color Laser All-In-One Printer
The Brother MFC-9970CDW Color Laser All-In-One Printer is a fast 30 pages-per-minute machine, designed for mid-sized work-groups. The printer features a 300 sheet standard paper capacity, with the option to add a 500 sheet tray. The auto document feeder has a 50 page capacity for copying, scanning, or faxing. Helping to make the MFC-9970CDW even more user-friendly is the intuitive 5" color touch screen LCD display.
More than just a printer, the 9970CDW is also a copier, scanner, and fax machine. Network capabilities include USB, Ethernet, and wireless. Emulations include PCL-6 and BR-Script 3 for ensuring compatibility with multiple document types. Other highlights of the MFC-9970CDW include two-sided duplex printing, high capacity replaceable toner cartridges for low consumable costs, and a high-speed 33.6Kbps fax modem. Additionally, Brother backs the 9970CDW with a 1-Year On-Site warranty.

I purchased this printer after returning a 9320 CW. The 9320 was terrible: document feeder jams; cumbersome legal scanning; inefficient use of expensive toner; driver software issues with Windows 7 computers. So far, I have had none of these problems with the 9970. Everything seems smooth, fast, and mostly efficient. Color copies could stand a little bit more accuracy, and some color print jobs have been slightly blurred. Barely even an issue yet.

Printer is a great all-in-one for a small business or office. Love the option to fax from computers within your network. I am able to fax a pdf of my 5 page menu to customers without having to manually feed 5 pages or needing to maintain a clean copy of the menu to fax manually. Color feature allows quick printing of brouchures or sale literature. Duplex printing is a cost saver and the toner cost is advertised to be more economical than the printer that I replaced - though I have not needed to replace it yet. Have a 10 yr old office copier that also was replaced by this printer. Best printer/copier/fax/scanner that I purchased - Worth every penny!!!

I purchased this product for use in my small business that is out of my home. Set up of the machine was easy and I found the instructions for setting up the wireless connection to be easy to follow. Works great, documents look professional when printed and colors are true, scan and fax functions are self explanatory. Much less expensive than several of the other color laser multi-function devices I looked at. My only gripe is that it is a bit loud, but not any louder than any other laser printer.

I have had a great experience with this product so far. Many people said the scans were too dark and a little yellow. I have not found this to be the case and it is easy to create a one button scan that adjusts the brightness and scan depth.
If you don't need 11x17, this is a great printer with lots of features. The feature I like best is the two sided single pass scanning via two scanning elements. It makes paper handling more reliable and much quicker.
