Great camera so far, i bought it to stand up to my wifes uncanny ability to go through cameras. It takes geat pictures for what it is. I have yet to test it's underwater abilities but i can say it's water resistant in the very least. Auto mode takes good pictures, although turning the flash off sometimes is a must. Liek most poitn and shoots if you tinker with it a bit you can get it to stretch it's legs and produce some high quality photos. My only gripe/worry is the fact that the large glass lens is out on a corner which is fine but i wish it included some sort of hard cap to cover it when not in use, or included a cheap soft draw string pouch at least. Zoom is rather lacking, but who zooms in on something a football feild away under water?

Purchased this camera for our holiday to Cuba. Wanted a waterproof camera so we could take pictures snorkeling. After 5 days of fun in the sun and water, the camera got water inside of it… This left us without a camera for the rest of our trip. We are thankful that the pictures that were on the memory card were not destroyed. We are sorry we purchase this camera!

I am tickled with being able to use the camera under water (although that is not the main reason I purchased this model). Took it on a beach trip, used it in windy rain, also in the pool to take underwater pics and video of my daughter in her mermaid tail and monofin. Love the face recognition and auto red eye correction. Pretty good pics for a point and shoot, lots of options available to make the most of each shot in different lighting conditions. Still miss the speed of my SLR, but this is pretty fast compaired to my old (2000 model) Olympus. Easy to understand and navigate menu.

This product is so nice. Very useful for the travelers. Works well under the water. That is not a professional camera but it's corresponding at my expectations !

Comments about Fujifilm FinePix XP30 Digital Camera (Green):
I've had this camera about a week. It's the smallest digital camera I've owned- I can carry it comfortably in
a pants pocket.
The autofocus and face finder are rather good. My outdoor photos have been great. Occasionally when outdoors in macro
mode (for closeups of plants) it uses the flash- but the photos have come out. The zoom is easy to use.
Some of my indoors photos have been a little dark- I've not experimented at all with the ISO settings yet.
I had to download the User Manual to figure out which memory card to buy (SDHC), and where it goes (next to the battery). Maybe I was slow that day.
The image stabilization is good- I had no trouble with blur, and this was a real problem with my previous camera.
I don't use the GPS.
Overall, I'm happy with the camera.

I liked the panoramic option. It works great under water. It records a undesired noise in movies when using zoom. The audio is a little poor. Turn off the GPS option unless you really need it.

It's shutter time is really slow so you can miss a lot if you are filming kids or pets. It's okay. Good for the price.

Getting the camera to shoot indoors not as easy as other cameras. In auto indoors flash will not fire like similar cameras.

Comments about Fujifilm FinePix XP30 Digital Camera (Green):
It's a very good camera. Good quality for not being a SLR camera. Very noisy though, I recommend turning off the sound of buttons and shutter. No shutter lag which makes it nice for action shots. Notice quality inside is not very well. A lot of grain on pictures. It is more of an outdoor camera. I have not yet tested it being waterproof. But I would not doubt its ability.
