The Vello TTL-Off-Camera Flash Cord provides creative photographers with the ability to remotely fire off-camera Sony Alpha flash units. Removing the flash from the camera's hot shoe allows the photographer to create unique and dramatic lighting styles that are not possible with a traditional shoe-mounted strobe.
One side of the TTL cable fits directly into the camera's hot shoe to ensure that all of the camera's exposure data is maintained. The other side can be attached to any stand, tripod, or device with a standard 1/4"-20 threaded stud or flash shoe mount.
This coiled cord measures 3' (1 m), allows for handheld shooting at arm's length, and provides extra length for flash brackets with longer positioning arms.
Other available lengths are:

This cord allows me to get the flash high enough to eliminate the chance of red-eye, while retaining the TTL function.

Comments about Vello TTL-Off-Camera Flash Cord for Sony Alpha Series - 3' (1 m):
I bought this to replace another cord that was undependable. This one is much higher quality. I couldn't be more pleased with this one. It works smoothly, is solid, and the cord is more substantial. This one is the perfect length for using with a Stroboframe. It feels like a premium product for a bargain price.

Comments about Vello TTL-Off-Camera Flash Cord for Sony Alpha Series - 3' (1 m):
After co-shooting a wedding with another photog who used off camera flash extensively I because interested in trying this out on some sports photography. Using a Sony HVLF58AM attached to this cord I was able to achieve some unique lighting effects when used in close quarters in conjunction with the Sony 35mm/1.4 lens. Attached to the cable the flash retained all functions just as if it had been mounted on camera. An added feature is a standard female screw mount on the flash shoe. It actually mounts better on a stand than if that plastic shoe was used.
