The Vello FreeWave Wireless Shutter Release system works with a wide variety of camera models just by swapping out the camera release cable. This Vello FreeWave Camera Release Cable will allow you to use your Vello FreeWave, FreeWave Plus, FreeWave Fusion, Wireless ShutterBoss, and MicroSync series remote with the following cameras:
Canon EOS: Elan series, Digital Rebel (300D), XT (350D), XTi (400D), XSi (450D), T1i (500D), T2i (550D), T3 (1100D), T3i (600D) and XS (1000D), 60D; PowerShot G10, G11, G12 & G1 X
Contax: N and 645
Hasselblad: H series
Pentax: K110D, K100D, K200D, K-5, K10D, K20D, *istDS, DS2, DS, DL2, DL, and D
Samsung: NX10 & NX100; GX-S1, GX-1L, GX-10 & GX-20
Sigma: SD1, SD9, SD10, SD14 & SD15

Cable arrived quickly in good shape. When plugged into camera and into wireless shutter release controller, worked perfectly the first time. I look forward to using it with my Canon T3i for a number of projects.

I use it with my Canon 60D and it works perfectly. I originally bought RC-6 Wireless release but it only worked from a couple of feet away from the camera and only if you point it straight to the sensor. This shutter release works from up to 100m (I haven't tested it from that far tho, only from 30 feet or so and it worked great).
The downside is that you need to attach the piece to the camera and turn it on, before you shoot. But if you ask me it's worth it, cos you can be anywhere withing 100m around your camera and shoot with no problem at all.
Great for self portraits, camera shy animals and wild life, and tripod shots that need cable release to eliminate camera shake.
Great product. Highly recommended.

Now that I have the right release cable it makes things work right. This allows me to do self portraits without setting the timer on the camera and then ran back and get into position to take photo. Or to elimanate any camera shake on long exposure shots. I'm real happy I got this.

This cable works well. I ordered it because I bought the wrong camera release package, so I had the cable to hook up with the 5D. Now that I have this my shutter release works perfect and I can do all the shots that I couldn't before.

Not much to say. It's a coil-spring like cable with 2.5mm TRS connectors at each end. It has a nice quality feel to it.
