Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100 Digital Camera (Silver):
While I typically prefer using my DSLR's for their infinitely creative control, there are times when their bulky size is overly cumbersome. At these moments having a high quality, compact and feature laden point and shoot camera is very much preferred. The low light performance, panoramic and auto-intelligent simplicity that is offered here makes this camera an exceptional value. At 16MP, the images are a good size even for the more critical photographers. Thus, even in the most crowded Pro camera bags, a compact and highly capable P&S is a necessity.

Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100 Digital Camera (Silver):
PROS:
1. Excellent features.
2. Picture quality is AMAZING!
3. Makes HD videos and the quality is excellent (No need to buy a video camera)
4. Has GPS.
CONS:
1. Bad battery life. You really need a spare battery if you are on vacation taking pictures and video.
2. Come on Sony, you need to include large capacity memory cards and an extra battery!
3. Sony should makes these with at least 32GB internal hard drive.
4. Sony should include HDMI cable
Bottom Line: This is an excellent camera for the everyday person. Would have loved it even more if it had wifi and it could upload pictures to your Google+.

The case is a little hard to open and you end up touching the lens half the time. On mine, the zoom is hard to operate (have to push REALLY hard). It is VERY hard to do anything with the camera without accidentally changing options on the touch screen. Pictures look great though.

Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100 Digital Camera (Silver):
it is a bit complicated to learn how to use tx100 than my last cyber shot with real buttons. but once you get used to it, it is easy to use. i took a pic while i was flying over the north pole, the touch focus really helped a lot. and the gps location is another catch too.

Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100 Digital Camera (Silver):
I chose this camera for its great features; e.g., Zeis lens, 16MPs, CMOS processors, OLED display. What is unacceptable is the terrible color rendition. I don't see how this camera got out off the laboratory.
Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100 Digital Camera (Silver):
I bought this camera to replace an older model Sony digital point-and-shoot. I should note that I carry a camera with me often to capture child moments or design ideas (for work). The picture and video quality on this camera are fantastic! The menus are pretty easy to use. However, this model does not include a comprehensive manual - something I do like to refer to while first learning about the new features. If I am trying to figure out how to do a specific effect, I often find myself searching around all the menus until I find something appropriate. Other pros: Shutter lag is minimal (much better than the old camera which had the highest rating in its class at the time). Panoramic feature is VERY easy to use. This camera seems to stabilize better (while taking pics and movies out a car window or while walking). For those who want a simple operation, this camera has many built in, "smart" features to help you take great pictures without much thought. There are two small reasons why I did not give this camera 5 stars: 1) the slide down cover does not have a well-designed lip on which to pull it down. (the older model was easier to use especially with gloves on) 2) the fancy OLED touch screen is actually quite delicate - in fact, the first one that arrived was defective. In general, although slightly larger than my older Sony camera, this camera is a bit more delicate and fussy. If this bothers you, I would stick with the TX10 model, otherwise, I do recommend this camera.
