There's Backlight Correction HDR, which corrects high-contrast scenes by automatically taking 3 photos at different exposures and combining them into 1 beautiful, natural-looking photograph. Background Defocus will blur the background for gorgeous portraits that look like they came from a high-end DSLR camera. Smile Shutter automatically catches the subject's smile, while the anti-blink function avoids closed eyes. - Anti-Blink Function
- It's frustrating to capture the perfect shot, only to review it later and discover subjects blinked during the photo. When the camera is set to Soft Snap, the Anti-blink function captures two images, recording only the photo with less squinting or blinking. If a blink is detected in other shooting modes, a warning will be displayed after you take the shot.

I bought this cammera six month ago basically to take pictures of my baby. I was looking for a fast responding cammera and with good image quality and this sony can takes burst of 10 or 2 images per sec and with very good quality and focus, it enables me to catch the moment when my baby changes face expressions. The video recording is great I didn't expect to use it as much as I do the HD is amazing the auto focus works great rarely does it lag, changing the zoom is heard in playback but I dont use the zoom while recording. I reacharge the battery every 3 weeks and it could take about 3hours, I bought another battery but I manage to get along without it.
I like the panoramic pictures it produces the procedure is continuous and easy.
There are the usual picture modes, Im always using the automatic mode and very pleased
I gave this cammera 4 stars just because its image quality does not compare to dslr cammeras but thats the compremise between these compact cammerra and dslr.
This cammera has fallen from my hands 3 times and nothing is damage so it seems robust
Overall I highly recomand it.

I am so impressed by the level of versatility and quality this point and shoot camera performs at. Even in the basic auto mode, the camera quickly adjusts to any light environment giving a beautiful clarity not only in day light but also in very low lite conditions. I have not experienced a grainy photo yet, and experimented in a back yard with only one low porch light on. Very impressed with the results! Basic functionality of the camera could not be easier, but also allows for some interesting customization with styles and format in manuel mode. The 1080 HD video mode has the same simple yet impecable qualities, shooting at 60i = 30 frames per second. I recommend this camera to anyone like myself that travels excessively and needs an affordable, small camera that functions at a very high quality in all conditions.

I always have a camera with me and carry the Sony WX10 in a small purse or a jacket pocket. I love that it is compact and has manual controls for aperture and shutter.
Not certain if the lens is much sharper than a Canon ELPH.
The controls are not entirely intuitive.

I use for taking general pictures.
Things I thought are great about it is that with this camera is that it's small, you can take great low light pictures and in the 'Superior Auto Photo' it helps a lot on picture quality.
Battery works great! Takes a while to run out of batteries.
The only think I would like it to have is a higher zoom, but I understand that we can have a great quality photo and great zoom on the same camera.
The other thing I miss on it is the Super slow motion video. I would really love to make videos in super slow.
Overall it's a very nice camera.

I like the size of the camera, It's small but not too small to get lost inside your pocket. Operation is very easy and intuitive. The HD video is great, and pictures are coming out great.
Cons are not a brilliant flash (but I don't use flash a lot), Grainy on dark places unless you use the great feature in the camera that takes a few pictures together to handle the dark. In quick moving objects the focus can go astray. All in all it gives great results and it's much nicer to carry it then a huge SLR or reflex cameras. You photograph more.

This is a fantastic point-and-shoot for the price. It is nice and slim, has a bright, crisp LCD screen and takes beautiful stills and 1080p video. While all camera's have a "scene" mode, this model actually will change to scene modes on the fly based on lighting and other readings, leaving you with optimal shots in automatic mode. There are lots of fun features to play with, including 3D shooting, de-focussed backgrounds, etc. My only gripe? The power button is a push button on the top of the camera. It is very easy to accidentally turn the unit on in a pocket or camera case, yet somehow not as easy to turn it on or off when you're actually trying to. A slide-bar style button would be much better.
