I bought this camera because I feel that I am missing some photo opportunities due to the fact that my Canon 5D Mark II is cumbersome and not so fast to get out of the case.
I have not shot much with it as of yet but the little that I have, I am satisfied with the image quality. I was delighted to find out that I can actually set the ISO where I want it instead of it giving me just an auto ISO. Just for the record; don't go higher than ISO 200 if you want noise-free images when viewing at 100%.
The only thing so far that I am not so crazy about is that I would like to look through the lens, not the screen, but yes, the camera is compact and I guess you just can't fit everything in it.
All in all, if you are looking for a compact camera that does it all, this seems like a pretty good pick.

I use the camera for casual picture taking mostly, although I do also like to have high quality pictures when taking pictures. I got this camera on sale for [$] and for the money, it seems to be worth it. The lag time between photos is an issue. I purchased a higher quality SD card to avoid this, but it didn't seem to help much. And maybe I have to learn how to use it better, but I find that sometimes I will push and push and push on the shutter and for whatever reason it doesn't want to take the picture. This has been frustrating, but again, I may have more to learn about the camera. The movies are HD, provided you are out in full daylight. Otherwise, you can expect indoor videos to be as grainy as any other. I like a lot of features that it has and have yet to tap into them all. Macro setting takes beautiful close ups. I like that the settings wheel is external, not something in the menu as with my last point and shoot Olympus.

My Girlfriends' old Point and shoot died on our trip to NYC jan 1,2012. So I hopped on the Metro and went to B&H to get her a suprise replacement.
I was in and out in less than an hour with this camera and as part of a kit and she has been thrilled with it. I scored major points!
It's a good P&S. 16mp is a lot but you can reduce the file sizes. It's not the best low light camera but I thought it was slick that it will reduce the to 5mp to give better low light performance.
For the price it was perfect as a general purpose point and shoot. The controls are easy and the on screen help has cut down on the "Honey what's this?" barrage you get with introducing someone to a new camera.

I bought this camera for my 79 year old father in law. I wanted a camera that was very easy and intuitive to use. This camera fits the bill. Within two minutes of showing him the major buttons,where the memory card and battery goes he was taking his first pictures. It is small enough to fit in your shirt pocket but still feels very solid.

I use this product for my daily snapshots, as I usually work in the film format. The product itself isn't amazing, but it does a good job with the macro setting and outdoor shots. I enjoy the fun options. It isn't the fastest camera, but when the kid and pet setting is used, it does a pretty good job. Considering it has been complimented on its low light capabilities, I wasn't so impressed by it. Overall, a good buy.

I wasn't sure what to think about a handheld so affordable - often you have to spend upwards of $300-400 to get something decent. This was truly a pleasant surprise. I bought it initially for underwater photography, but have found that it works great on the surface as well. Underwater, it captures surprisingly stunning color, and does a great job of focusing on the object I'm aiming at, typically focusing beyond the sediment in the water. I don't have an external light, but have been pleased with the color I get even down to 60'. On the surface I've had fun playing with different modes, particularly the "live" mode where you can easily shift from warm/cool, vibrant, light/dark, to create more artsy photos. Sure, you can do that on your computer, but I love the ability to do so on the fly. All in all, a great little camera for a great price.

I bought this because it is compact, to take on hikes and outings instead of my digital SLR. Learning curve for me: because of its size, it is a lot harder to hold it steady.
I miss having a viewfinder as that helps stabilize the camera when shooting.
