Panasonic VW-CLT1 3D Conversion Lens
The Panasonic VW-CLT1 3D Conversion Lens is a special dual-lens attachment that, when paired with a compatible Panasonic camcorder, records right-eye and left-eye images simultaneously to produce three-dimensional video. The right and left images are together captured at a resolution of 960 x 1080, with a field of view equivalent to 58mm on a 35mm camera. Able to focus from 1m to infinity, the lenses share a convergence point of 1.5m (4.9')--which means images recorded closer will appear to be coming out at you, while those further away seem to recede into the distance. These colorful 3D images can then be viewed at home using a TV that employs the side-by-side method of 3D playback.
The VW-CLT1 3D Conversion Lens fits Panasonic camcorder models HDC-SDT750, HDC-SD900, HDC-TM900, HDC-SD800, and (via the included step-up ring) HDC-SD90 and HDC-TM90.
Note! The included 41.5 to 46mm step-up ring is intended for use with this 3D conversion lens only. Vignetting will occur if you use this ring with another 46mm lens attachment.

When the 3D conversion lens is attached, the camcorder artificially produces an effect called visual disparity. Right and left images are captured simultaneously by the two lenses, and recorded using the side-by-side method. To view the recorded images, simply connect the camcorder to a 3D compatible TV, such as a VIERA 3DTV, with an HDMI mini cable.
A TV that is capable of 3D playback using the side-by-side method, 3D Eyewear, and HDMI cable connection are required for playing the 3D images you have recorded.

I have added this lens to my HDC HS 900 camcorder and after 5 hours of 3D recording mainly outdoor subjects offer the following comments.
This lens must be carefully aligned when re attached and vertically aligned before recording. Strict adherence to the range limitations (1.2M to 4 or 5M)
produced results that didn't distress viewers. I use a Hoodman HD350 hood with a spirit level attached. My best results come when using camera supports.Surprised by the quality.

So, depends what you want: real 3D HD movie- this is not for you, go for 3D gear with 2 lenses and 2 individual chips. BUT if you want 3D affordable good quality(in low light not so good) and without zoom this is for you!!! Still you have to calibrate the lenses every time you use them, but is not so difficult and the results are stunning... I am very happy with it on my stunning Panasonic TM 90.

This conversion lens is great! Dont be afraid of the calibration, its a piece of cake! You only calibrate when you attach the lens. When you remove it, the camera is back to usual without any adjustments!
Ive filmed with the lens a fair amount now in various environments. The only recommendation is to have adequate lighting, its not the greatest in low light. Overall however its a wonderful feature to tinker with. Playing the 3D videos on my television looks great and kind of cool to share with friends and family! I mean, how often do you get to see yourself in 3D on tv! Cool!
