The PROAVIO EditBOX 8-Drive Mini SAS Storage System with PCIe RAID HBA (8 TB) with a cable-less design offers a 3 GB/s SAS/SATA interface, MiniSAS (SFF8088) connectivity, and 2K film resolution support. You can capture, edit, and render the videos at full uncompressed resolution with no compromise on the video quality. Featuring up to 8 TB of real-time HD video capacity, it provides an excess of 900 MB/s when configured for RAID-5 protection (with a qualified PCI-e RAID adaptor).
With up to 8 TB storage space available, the Mini SAS Storage System can store in excess of 24 hours of 10-bit uncompressed HD source material at a fraction of comparable fiber channel systems. It complements any high-resolution video platform including systems by AJA, Avid, BlackMagic Design, Bluefish444, Grass Valley / Canopus, and Matrox.
External noise cancellation technology makes it ideal for recording studios. With PCIe RAID HBA, the SAS/SATA technology provides support for third-party host bus adaptors, RAID controllers, MS-equipped editing systems, and also the latest SAS & SATA RAID controllers including Areca Technology, Atto Technologies, HighPoint Technologies, LSI Logic, and Apple.
This storage system is powered by an 80 PLUS energy-efficient 250 W power supply. In addition, the hot-swappable noise-reduced system cooling fan makes the system an eco-friendly desktop storage option.
