Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FH25 Digital Camera (Red) is a complete digital camera image-making machine--it has an 8x Leica wide-angle 28-224mm (35mm equivalent) zoom lens, a 16.1MP high-resolution CCD sensor, and a 2.7" LCD monitor with 230K dots of resolution for composing and viewing photos and video.
And the video is beautiful--1280 x 720p HD video @ 24fps. The superb image stabilization combined with sensitivity up to ISO 6400 and Intelligent Resolution mean you'll never have to be disappointed about blurry pictures in low-light situations.
Scene modes (27) and color modes (8) give you confidence that your photos will be the best possible in any given situation, and high-speed burst shooting at up to 4fps, in tandem with the Sonic Speed autofocus mean that you'll never have to miss a shot waiting for the camera to start up or to focus (shutter release time lag is as short as 0.005 second). And Intelligent Auto exposure will always pick the optimal settings, whatever the scene you're photographing. All of this (and much more) in a camera less than 4" long, and barely 1" deep--you'll always have it with you.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH25 Digital Camera (Red):
We presently own two Panasonic cameras, a ZS 1 and a newer ZS10.. The new FH 25 was purchased to replace the older unit.. WOW what a difference new technology makes.. The optics of Leica lens, have always been pretty good, but combined with the better sensor and newer designed multiple arrray lens this is one good unit. Don't forget to purchase a higher speed memory card, the camera can handle it. The transfer speed is good.. The iA setting is pretty accurate. My wife likes the simplicity of the camera. She just leaves it on fully auto and has a great time with it.. Can not go to far wrong with this camera for the price!!

This camera does everything I expected of it. I wanted a small and handy pocket camera to carry with me, but I also wanted some zoom capability. The FH25 has all that. Having had two previous Panasonic cameras I expected great pictures, and the FH25 did not disappoint.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH25 Digital Camera (Red):
I have been looking for a point and shot for a while now. Years have gone by and my search has ended with this camera. My wife is using the movie feature for her podcast. I will list the things I was looking for below:
Small, pocket sized, light weight
Lens (It is fixed, so you had better like it)
Optical zoom
Accurate color
Easy to use shooting modes
Easy to set custom exposure settings including white balance
SD card
Rechargeable lithium battery
No touch screen
Less than $250
This camera has these features. If you want a touch screen, there is an upgrade of this camera with one. I certainly haven't used it much yet, but I am very happy so far. The only other thing I wanted was the ability to shoot in RAW format, but that was the trade-off I made. This camera cost me about $135. Dang, good job Panasonic!

I am a fan of the lumix cameras, this one is no exception. Great automatic pictures, with no special settings. Very compact. I bought a type 10 video card and the lag time is much better, I don't know if it is the camera or the card, but it is much better than my old DMC-TZ5(with a type 4 card)

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH25 Digital Camera (Red):
My first digital camera was a Panasonic Lumix. It was only 5MP and even then the quality of blow ups was amazing. Now with 16MP, the results are even more spectacular. This is a very simple camera to use and downloading to the computer couldnt be better. No programs to install. The macro feature is fantastic and exposures are very good. I never liked flash pictures but these are decent. Couldnt be more lightweight. That sometimes takes a bit getting used to if you like holding a bigger camera like I am. I am a semi professional photographer and for Point and Shoot, this is one
excellent camera.

A great little camera that does a lot more than I thought it would. Bought it for my 79-year-old mom for her birthday so it had to be fairly easy to operate and all she wanted was a "quick click." It does that and more. Great zoom and res and many more features. I want one now!

I added to my old Sony DSC-S85 digital camera, which was a great camera at the time I bought it, this Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH25 and I am thrilled of that camera for it's size, it's ease of use and the quality of my pictures and movies. Spent 5 weeks in Europe in August and September. 3000 pics and movies later I am delighted by my choice. Also glad I bought an extra battery for the camera, which give me a reliable power supply to shoot tons of pictures during my trip. Will probably add another battery just for extra long movie and shoot sessions away from home. I only had this camera for 2 months, so can't judge on it's reliability in time, but will hope it will last as long as my Sony !

I will use the camera to supplement my SLR. It will serve of a backup in case of problems with the SLR and will be useful for travel and any other occasions when I just want a camera to keep in my pocket.
So far I have just done test shots but found the pictures very sharp and camera response quite fast.
So far I haven't found any problems.

Purchased as a birthday gift for 9 yr old girl. My hope was she would learn how to take pictures for our summer sea cruise. Camera too complex for her. Will hold for next year.

It's easy to use and very compact. The zoom is great and there are lots of scene modes to choose from in addition to the intelligent mode. Having the wide angle lens built into to the camera is a nice feature.

I bought this for my wife. She wanted a camera that was simple to operate, had a better zoom (previous camera was a Canon Elph with 3x), was faster (start-up, focus, and inbetween shots), and was small and light (easy fit in purse/pocket). I set it into Ai mode and it does all of those things great. She loves it! Highly recommended.
