Drift Handlebar Mount Kit for HD170 / X170 Cameras
The Drift Handlebar Mount Kit for HD170 / X170 Cameras is a quick-release mounting kit for attaching a Drift HD170 or X170 action cam to a bicycle or motorcycle handlebar or to a pole with a similar diameter (around 1").
The clamping piece tightens to the handlebar via a thumbscrew. The camera plate attaches to the camera via a 1/4"-20 screw and to the clamp via a quick-release connection, allowing you to quickly and easily remove the camera with its plate attached and re-attach it to a Drift Helmet Mount, for instance.
The Drift HD170 and X170 both come with a Handlebar Mount Kit; this is a replacement kit. The Handlebar Mount Kit is designed specifically to mount the HD170/X170, but its standard 1/4"-20 screw will fit the tripod thread of many other camcorders.

I use this product on my bike that is equiped to carry my tripod and gear. I work for aa small town and use my bike to cater to the events and city classes. It allows me to secure my camera and have it quickly available should something happen.

I used this handle bar mount on my bike from NY to Florida. I placed it on my aerobars for easy switching between the handlebar mount and my helmet mount. Great, sturdy piece that has not moved. The only think that I would mention is that it does not fit on a thicker handlebar (in my case it actually wouldn't fit on the handlebar) keep that in mind if you do have 31.8 mm bars.

A low-profile mount on my bike's handlebar with a secure snap-in clip that lets me remove the camera when I'm not on the bike: couldn't ask for more. No swivel mount with fiddly bits needed, between the clamp and the threaded mount there are enough degrees of freedom to aim the camera where you want. The price for this mount is also hard to beat and extremely reasonable.

I use this on my comfort bike to hold my little point and shoot camera (not an HD 170). It has not been tried in an off road situation but it stays put over speed bumps. The quick release is also good, and the camera is ready to go at a moments notice.
I am very pleased with this, and it sure beats making my own.
