Apple Universal Dock
The Apple Universal Dock provides a quick and easy way to listen to and charge your iPod/iPhone. Simply find the proper adapter (either included or sold separately) and place it in the universal dock. Once the adapter is in place you can charge, sync, listen to or watch your iPod/iPhone. Having the dock eliminates the need to reach behind your stereo or computer for jacks and wires. It can connect to your computer, stereo, speakers and TV. As an added convenience, the Universal Dock also comes with an Apple remote. The remote allows you to relax at a distance from your iPod/iPhone and still be able to change songs, scroll menus, pause, play and stop tracks. The Universal Dock serves multiple purposes and with one convenient device you can charge, sync or use your iPod/iPhone.
- • Connect the Dock to your computer with the USB cable then place your iPod or iPhone in the Dock to sync and charge the battery and sync content from iTunes. No more reaching behind the computer to plug it in • Connect the Dock to an electrical outlet using the included USB power adapter and USB cable, then place your iPod or iPhone in the Dock to charge the battery • Connect the Dock to a stereo or speakers using a stereo audio cable to play music from your iPod or iPhone • Control playback from a distance using the included Apple Remote • Display photos or video on a TV or other video device using the Apple Dock Connector to VGA Adapter, Component AV Cable or Composite AV Cable if you have an iPhone or iPod that plays video

I got the universal dock as a gift for my mother. I was looking for a dock that was compatible with her iphone 3G and also newer models of iphones and ipods. This product does all of that. She's able to hook it up to her computer and wall outlet and control her iphone from across the room with the remote.

I listen to my I Pod through my stereo and charge it at the same time. The remote does not work the menu, but once you have that set you can pause the music or go to the next song using the remote.

I Placed this by my bedside and enjoy it whiles i dose off. I love it because the remote is so powerful i could control my songs across the room in my bathroom. I can also use the remote with my mac book pro. it is a good buy.
