Dynalite Umbrella (40")
This is a Dynalite 40" Umbrella with black backing. It softens and widens the light from the strobe source. The black backing prevents loss of light and maximum output from your source. The backing is removable so you can use the umbrella like a soft box by shooting through the white inner material. This umbrella employs a unique folding design which allows it to break down to a compact 20" for packing.

I use this with my flash and radio triggers on location and in the studio. So far it's done an excellent job. It sets up and folds down in seconds, and feels sturdy enough to withstand most situations it could potentially be put into. Wrapped snugly in the bag that is supplied with it, I put this into my kit bag along with stands and other accessories; unless someone deliberately stomps hard on it, I'm confident that this will emerge undamaged every time.
It casts a good, even light, and although it isn't the very cheapest umbrella of this size, the difference is evident in the quality. The removable cover is a useful touch, albeit not one that I have used more than a couple times since I also own a softbox. I will not hesitate to buy this brand/design as and when I need more/larger umbrellas.
