The Porta Brace CBA-HPX3100 Camera Body Armor (Signature Blue) is a snug- jacket made of water-resistant “ultra-suede” lammy micro fiber with a high-density foam interior and a breathable tech-mesh interior. It is designed to custom fit a Panasonic AG-HPX370, AJ-HPX3100 or AJ-HPX3100G camcorder. The Camera Armor protects the camcorder from bumps, hits and scratches. It also reduces the risk of camcorder damage due to precipitation, dust, and other harsh conditions. There is a removable, reversible rain/dust top that stores in its own pocket. The top is white (reflective) on one side for hot, dry, sunny situations while the black side is useful to absorb the sun's warmth under cold conditions. The camera body armor is loaded onto the camera using touch fasteners and web cinchers. A neoprene gasket grips the camcorder lens tightly.

Comments about Porta Brace CBA-HPX3100 Camera Body Armor:
We just replaced our HPX-500's with HPX-3100's and we were extremely pleased with Petrol's Camera Gloves but they don't (and won't) make one for the 3100's so we decided to get the CamRade -- which turned to be a dreadful decision: it took almost three months to arrive, the material was low quality, but, worse than anything else, the design is completely flawed: in order to access the P2 cards compartment, you have to completely remove the Camera Glove ... so stupid!
I was aware of the Porta Brace Body Armor before buying the CamRade but I decided to avoid it because I didn't like the fabric they use for most of their products but after realizing the CamRade's wouldn't cut it for us, I decided to go for the Porta Brace's and I'm pleased to say these are the best match for our cameras: well designed, easy to put on the cameras and great quality of materials -- they use a softer foam-like fabric that is great for both the camera finish as well as the operator's face.
The only drawback, and I'm being too picky, is that the included rain cover is too bulky, but that shouldn't be a big deal for most users -- we have a custom designed in-vehicle camera cage and it doesn't fit perfectly in it ... but we found a quick solution and we are extremely happy with them.

Comments about Porta Brace CBA-HPX3100 Camera Body Armor:
I always try to protect my gear with the proper coverings and I usually end up with a Porta-Brace. This is the suggested cover for the Panasonic HPX-370, but it doesn't fit as well as PB body armor has on my other gear. I like the feel of the new material and the integrated rain cover is great. Some of the controls are difficult to get to in a hurry with the armor on. Overall I think it will work great. It just doesn't seem to fit as well as my previous covers.
