The CB/4SVHA2MP3 4-User Portable MP3 Listening Center from Hamilton is a convenient system that allows 4 users to listen to the same audio source, ideal for use in schools and other institutions. The system includes a HAMP-3 MP3 player, 4 sets of HA2 headphones, a JBP-8SV jackbox, and a nylon storage case.
The HAMP-3 supports virtually all music formats, allowing you to load it with MP3, WMA, and WAV files from the internet or your computer. The unit also has an FM tuner, allowing you to enjoy your favorite stations. A built-in microphone allows students and teachers to record lectures, classes, podcasts, and more. Recordings can be saved as WAV or ACT files. A USB port makes it easy to connect to your computer to load the player with music or to transfer your recordings for easy sharing. The player has 2GB of internal solid-state flash memory for terrific stability and reliability. You can use up to 1GB of the space for storing files, using the player as a USB thumb drive. The player has a 7-color LCD display that shows operating mode and battery status. Additional features include 7 EQ settings, multiple repeat modes, and automatic time off and sleep time settings. The unit operates on a single AAA battery for up to 8 hours.
Each set of headphones has 40mm drivers to provide quality audio. The foam ear cushions and adjustable headband provide a snug and comfortable fit. The single-sided cable offers plenty of slack and is resistant to tangles. Each set of headphones has a 3.5mm plug and a 1/4" adapter for connecting to the jackbox. Patented ASM technology allows the headphones to automatically detect whether they are plugged into a mono or stereo audio source. This lets you plug into any piece of audio equipment without worrying about damaging ears or equipment. Each set of headphones also has its own storage bag. When sealed, the bag kills head lice in 24-48 hours without the use of chemicals.
The jackbox offers 8 individual 1/4" headphone jacks, allowing you to connect all of the included headphones. The system can even be expanded by adding additional headphones. Each headphone jack has its own volume control so listeners can control their own listening experience without affecting others. The Y-cable has 3.5mm and 1/4" connectors that support mono and stereo sources for compatibility with a variety of audio devices such as tape players, MP3 players, CD players, and more. The zip-up storage case is made from soft material with internal padding to protect your equipment. It has an internal pocket for storing small accessories.
