I have used this fan for several years, and it was misplaced on a business trip. I bought some other fans and they were not worthwhile at all, so I found this one specifically to purchase. There is a space between the fan and the computer that allows for better air flow and the fan really pushes the air.
This is the only cooling pad with buying.

I do a lot of computing from my bed. The cooling pad has answered my desire to protect my laptop from overheating even when it's sitting on sheets, blankets, etc. The USB connection assures me I can "keep my cool" even when away from power sources.
