Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 Digital Camera (Silver):
Purchased as second camera (packet) when I don't want to carry my DSLR
Please be advised that I paid little over $200 for this camera (NEW)
Video: Great HD video, Great zoom - decent speed
Photo: In ideal light condition, great pictures. In low lighting condition pictures are very grainy if you leave camera in automatic settings. Camera has lot of setting options and you really need to read the manual to understand all the camera settings. If you play with the camera you can get decent pictures in low light conditions. GPS - slow and will eat your battery, but its nice option to have.
You will get LOT for your money - yes I will recommend this camera to friend if he or she want camera in this price range.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 Digital Camera (Silver):
Overall, this is an excellent camera. The only item I do not like is it lacks the panorama feature. Even though it has panorama assist, it is very awkward to use and needs to download first to stitch the pictures together.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 Digital Camera (Silver):
It's so easy to use, you might forget all the features loaded into this small package, like 4.3 to 68.8mm aspherical lens, multimode shutter/aperature control, GPS, stitching, fast focus, and features found on my D2X.
For a pocket size point and shoot this Lumix DMC-ZS10 is a top camera. I purchased it to get excellent picture taking when I can't carry my huge D2X. The price was very affordable too.
I installed an 8GB card and carry an extra battery.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 Digital Camera (Silver):
Selected this camera, because I wanted something to fit in my pocket which could still take excellent pictures. Whether it's macro shots of plants or wide coastline shots, I've been very happy with this model. Wonderful night-time shots with "handheld night setting" too. Very pleased with my decision.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 Digital Camera (Silver):
I use the Lumix for nature photography. I shoot flowers, waves, waterfalls, and anything coming into my line of sight that is extraordinary. I love this camera. It is a step up from the Canon Powershot. I am however going to return it, because of the glare on the screen. I will get a 4/3 camera with a view finder or a rotating screen. I love the Leica lenses as they produce crisp pictures and I love the size and maneuverability of this camera. The scene modes have been excellent for night shots. One night I caught fishermen fishing in large waves along the shore and was really impressed with the results. I have not gotten the detail I want on the moon and waves. B&H is great their sales folks are very nice and they told me I would be able to return my camera if it was not for me within 30 days. The Leica lens out does other smaller cameras. I would recommend this camera and have.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 Digital Camera (Silver):
I use the DMC-ZS10 for family, nature, volunteer organization, and some newspaper shots. This is the 12th digital camera I've owned and is one of the best. The technology gets better by the minute, and this camera is no exception.
Pros: Bottom line, the images are very good. I love bells and whistles, and the ZS10 has a ton...as always, some more useful than others.
Cons: Only thing I can think of is no internal wifi for sending pictures directly by email. Maybe that'll be added in my life time...sure hope so.

I actually bought it for a friend when I was visiting US and made a lot of pictures while staying there. I was seriously thinkin of not giving it to him at home -:) I like how the camera has GPS module and when you take the picture it shows you location where you made it. Helpful after couple of years in future remembering everything. Also one of the best and clear zooms I saw in non-profi cameras. Oo the other hand it is a bit heavier but considering what it has inside it is perfectly normal. Definately better buy than ZS-8.

I bought this camera to replace a Canon PowerShot S5. After using the Canon for Christmas I was disappointed with the indoor photos I took with normal daytime light. The zs10 was recommended by a friend who purchased a zs7. I have only used the camera less then 1 month but I am extremely satisfied with the photos. My wife is only interested in a point and shoot with a decent zoom. So far the zs10 has performed outstanding!! The outdoor photos using the burst feature have capture some great shots. And the indoor photos have been just as good! I have read some of the negative comments about the low light shots but I look at it this way.... You can not have the prefect point and shoot camera....and for sub [$]... What not to love about the camera

I've been taking pictures non-stop with this DMC-ZS10 since I received it a week ago. The photo quality is exceptional. My friend with a thousand dollar DSLR took pictures of my wife's paintings to make prints. Then I took some with this Panasonic, and we all decided the Panasonic quality was better. It has specific settings for art. After a week of use the battery meter is still full. Highly recommended.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 Digital Camera (Silver):
When my wife broke her old camera, she was so impressed with my old Panasonic DMC-ZS8 that she purchased this new updated version. When I saw the upgrades and new features on her camera, I decided it would be worth the price of a new camera, so I bought one, too. The combination of Panasonic electronics and Leica lenses just can't be beat. Color rendition and picture quality are fantastic, which combined with the 16x optical zoom makes this the perfect pocket camera for all-around use. The 14MP pictures have enough detail to satisfy anyone, and the 1080P video is a great upgrade. We also purchased the Panasonic underwater housing, and find this camera to be great choice for underwater use taking both stills and video. The rechargeable battery lasts for 300 to 400 pictures, depending on conditions, so you will only need a spare for heavy-duty use.
