The Cowon X7 (Black) is a 160GB MP3 and video player with a built-in FM radio, speaker and microphone. It can record via mic, line-in and FM radio. The X7 is highlighted by a 4.3" LCD touchscreen and large, 160GB storage capacity. You can store hours of music and video, plus pictures and text documents. Operation of the X7 is simplified by the user friendly Smart Widget UI. You can personalize your interface with menus and icons arranged in any order and you change the background image as well.
The X7 includes the integrated JetEffect 3.0 BBE+ audio enhancer, which affords outstanding audio control and quality. It features an EQ filter, sound refiner, Mach3Bass enhancer, 3D surround sound effect and MP enhance for enriching harmonics lost through compression. The JetEffect 3.0 BBE+ also features a stereo enhancer for enriched stereo sound and a reverb function that maximizes the natural and live presence of your music.
For video, the X7 is equipped with a multi-video player with flash capabilities that can play TV shows, movies, flash games and Internet content / flash videos via the 4.3" widescreen display or through the TV-out feature for playback on a large screen. Viewing pictures and text document files is possible as well. There's also a built-in FM radio, which can be enjoyed live or through the FM recording feature. You can set several station presets and save your recorded FM broadcasts to enjoy over and over.
The X7 Utilities suite includes several conveniences including a large keyboard for typing on the touchscreen, plus a calculator and a stop watch. There is also a Notepad feature for writing or drawing notes with the tip of your finger. You can select pen type and background for personalized notes. The Comix utility lets you view comic book images with auto-scroll and in horizontal or vertical viewing mode. You can set favorites and bookmarks as well.
The simple design of the X7 affords large storage capacity and maximum screen size in a convenient pocket-sized device. Plus, all of these features are easily managed through the Smart Widget UI, which lets you customize icons and menus. You can also manage files through the browser by arranging them in different menus and folders and everything can be quickly accessed by using the search feature. The X7 even has Bluetooth connectivity for convenient operation while on the go.

- The X7 has maximized the efficiency of spatial arrangement to accommodate a large-capacity storage device and a 4.3" LCD screen, which enables various multimedia functions. The concave frontal design minimizes any unnecessary space, while increasing stability and the external curvatures focus your attention on the screen. The volume buttons and speaker have been positioned for maximum convenience and functionality
- Smart Widget & Text UI
- You can create your own shortcut menu with Smart Widget, which activates and displays specific functions. You can also create a customized user menu and access functions easily at any time on Text UI - where you can see the menu list at a glance. There are a multitude of simple, yet accessible UI's to choose from

- Multi-Video Player With TV-Out
- Watch TV shows, Internet content and movies on the 4.3" widescreen display. It's highly portable and fits in your pocket, but if you want to watch your video content on a large TV screen, use the TV-out feature
- FM Radio
- Listen to FM radio through your X7. You can change channels via the touchscreen and also set several station presets. The frequency range is 87.5 - 108 MHz and you can even record your favorite FM broadcasts with the FM recorder (Japan frequencies are 76 - 108 MHz)
- Various Recording Modes & Built-In Mic
- The X7 includes a recorder function and a highly sensitive built-in mic for simple recordings. You can also use the line-in and FM Radio recording functions as well. You can store recorded files for access anytime
- View Pictures
- Store pictures in any number of albums and then view your stored pictures as a slideshow or enjoy with the zoom feature for zooming in and out. The Rotate and Gesture Movement functions make for easy viewing in horizontal and vertical settings. Also, you can set your stored pictures as backgrounds
- View Documents
- You can save, open and read your text files, add bookmarks and adjust font color, font size and background color. You can also utilize the automatic scroll time to customize your reading experience
- Flash Player
- The X7 is equipped with a flash player for enjoying flash games and flash video
- Browser
- You can manage files by arranging them in different menus and folders. Add files to your favorites, delete unwanted files and use the search function to locate and access content quickly
- X7 Utilities
- The X7 comes equipped with a Typist utility which displays a large virtual keyboard on the touchscreen. The Notepad lets you draw or write notes with the tip of your finger and select background and pen types for customization. The Comix utility lets you view comic book images with auto-scroll, horizontal/vertical viewing mode, favorites and bookmarks. There is also a Stopwatch feature and a built-in calculator function
- Reusable Sleeve Package
- The packaging of the X7 can be used to store the device. The case features a reusable bookmark for added functionality
