Comments about Cowon X7 (Black):
Seems like this product was rushed through. It has numerous problems. Issues hooking up with computers and getting music on it (don't even try with a Mac). Crashes without reason. Bad touch screen responds. Terrible screen resolution for this day and age. I've already sent it in once for repairs and it's now dead again and I won't even bother spending more time getting it to work or further repaired. It is a cowon product so the sound is phenomenal and you can drop and drag flac files onto it. For those reasons I'll keep on using cowon stuff (the X7 was my 4th cowon player), just beware and stay away from this one.

Comments about Cowon X7 (Black):
I bourght this product to consilidate my music library on one portable device. The size of the hard drive and reviews about the quality of the music pointed me to purchase this product.
The user interface is so far behind the iPod Touch and iPad. The Jet 3.0 is nice but the volume levels of this device are much to low. I purchased the Sennheiser MM550 so I could have qualify headphones and bluetooth connectivity. The quality and connectivity are good but the volume at the top end is inadequate.
Also, accessing the music is cumbersome and the text is small and hard to read.
Overall, I am quite dissapointed. I should have sprung for the 64gb iPod Touch.

Comments about Cowon X7 (Black):
As the previous reviewer stated, the sound quality is very good. But I've had the X7 for several weeks now and am still trying to figure out how it works. My main (sole) use is for music and the user manual is pretty useless for this. The X7 also comes with the Cowan media player software which has no instructions for use at all and doesn't compare with itunes.
Having said this, I think when (if) I ever figure out how to use this, it will be a good choice. If it lasts longer that my ipods - both died after about 8 months - it will be worth the money and frustion for the learning curve.

Comments about Cowon X7 (Black):
First, the positive.... the sound quality is really good on this. It's a definite step-up from my Creative Labs Zen Players. The build quality also seems good.
The main negative is that playing more than one album or artist at a time appears challenging. On the Creative Zen, you simply clicked on an album and then added any additional albums to play. With the Cowon, you have to "build" playlists and the process on how to build them has managed to elude me thus far...
