This Shoulder Mount Add-on Kit and Talon K1 Kit from B&H pairs the Letus35 Talon K1 and Shoulder-Mount Add-on Kit to form a complete shoulder-mounted support solution for DSLR cameras. The two Letus35 kits join effortlessly when you insert the Shoulder Mount Add-on Kit's 12" (30 cm) rods into the rear 15mm rod ports on the camera baseplate that comes with the Talon K1.
The Talon K1 rig is also designed to accept the addition of a Letus Hawk viewfinder or any third-party viewfinder (not included). The rear shoulder-pad assembly includes a 3 lb (1.4 kg) weight for balancing the otherwise front-loaded weight of the rig. Attach the handgrips and their 45-degree rod clamps to the 15mm rods at the front of the Talon K1, and you suddenly have three points of contact with your rig. Operating in a shoulder-mounted mode with your DSLR camera, you can enjoy eminently stable shooting for remarkably smooth, shake-free video.
The Letus35 Shoulder Mount Add-on Kit brings professional shoulder-mount capability to either the Talon K1 or K2 base kit. It includes a wealth of high-grade components that can be configured into a personalized shooting rig--including handgrips, shoulder pad, counterweight, and an assortment of 15mm stainless steel rods--all of which can be mixed and matched and fitted with your accessories of choice. Combined with the optional Talon kits' baseplate, clamps, camera plate, and rod extensions (and the K2's viewfinder), you've got everything you'll need to shoot hours of stable, handheld DSLR video.
The Letus35 Talon K1 (Kit 1) is designed for use with the Hawk or third-party viewfinders. It consists of a standard talon quick release baseplate, stainless-steel L-bracket, and 90mm stainless-steel rod extensions (female threaded on each end).
The baseplate's back is ported to receive standard male threaded support rods (15mm), which allow you to easily mount accessories behind the camera. You can easily release your camera from the support rods for capturing still images or packing up your gear. The kit also gives you an option to attach the Letus Hawk viewfinder to the Talon baseplate or to the quick-release camera plate, so that the viewfinder remains with the camera or the support rods.
