The Samsung SCO-2080R High-resolution Black IR LED Camera, with 1/3" Super HAD color CCD image sensor and a built-in 3.6x (2.8-10 mm) varifocal auto-iris lens, offers a resolution of up to 600TVL. Equipped with black IR LED, the camera can offer evenly-distributed night vision for up to 164' (50m) in total darkness. A set of twin glass prevents any reflection back into the camera, thereby eliminating any image degradation associated with internal reflection of light.
Featuring SSDR (Samsung Super Dynamic Range) to balance the overall brightness by illuminating the darker areas to the same ratio as the bright areas and produce clear images under high-contrast lighting conditions. With 2D/3D filtering noise reduction technology (SSNRIII), the camera offers color images in dimly-lit areas with reduced noise in the picture, and helps in saving storage space. The high-resolution camera with Day/Night ICR (infrared cut filter removal) function switches between color and B&W as per changes in ambient lighting, ensuring accurate color reproduction in daylight and enhanced B&W images at night.
Backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light. Gain control feature of the SCO-2080R camera allows you to adjust the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level, and auto white balance adjusts the red and blue signals by taking a standard white color reference to get the most natural colors.
Using DIS (Digital Image Stabilization), the SCO-2080R camera offers steady pictures by compensating for any camera movement caused by external stimuli. The advanced motion detection feature detects motion without any additional external sensor. Privacy masking allows you to mask up to 12 user programmable zones of a scene for privacy reasons.
Camera control using the video coaxial cable allows you to remotely setup the camera, thus offering ease of installation and remote adjustment in real time. The multi-language OSD (On-screen Display) offers intuitive and convenient interface for easy operation. Being weather-resistant (IP66-rated), the camera is protected against water and dust.

I have used this camera for 6 months now in an outdoor location down to 0 degrees F. The camera has been very reliable. Great low light images. I have been very satisfied with the excellent night images also. Very easy to set-up and adjust. I would buy this camera again. Can't comment on customer service (not needed yet).

I bought two of the SCO-2080R cameras from B&H. I have powered them exactly as described in the owner's manual. Both of the cameras I bought have similar, but generally unique issues which have been nothing short of a major headache.
Shortly after being installed, both cameras developed problems with powering down and/or messed up images. I have done all trouble shooting from each end of the connections, and ruled out every possibility except the cameras being faulty.
The other cameras in my system which are not Samsung all work perfectly. The Samsungs are the only cameras that have bad symptoms.
Samsung tech support is horrible. Sadly, I am outside my 30 day return period for B&H photo. So, unless you want to risk being in my situation (ie, being caught in the middle of horrible tech support and outside the 30 day return policy when the problems begin), avoid Samsung cameras.
Even when the cameras are running properly, the images aren't that great. So, all-in-all, I recommend against these cameras.
