Comments about Sony KDL46EX523 46" LED TV:
Only Sony continues making amazing products, problem is in most cases you are tired of the model or just want to upgrade because they do not break . If and when they do Sony is as honorable as they come in the industry . In fact they have gone past the regular non-fee warranty purchase date in one case, merely saying the part should have not failed . We bought this new unit for the new LED back light technology helping my elderly Mother see the picture better. The industry has made great leaps and bounds in sound / audio and just recently able to improve the bright depth we lost in the way of the old picture tube sets . Now many in the industry are addressing the large aging generation whom seeing & hearing is not what it use to be, not to mention most of US dealing with outside light sources .
Sony you are the One and Only !

Comments about Sony KDL46EX523 46" LED TV:
The KDL46EX523 46" LED TV is an upgrade from my 2 years old Sony 40" LCD. There is nothing wrong with it but I'm a technology junkie.
I like the stainless steel for the bottom bezel and the swivel let's me go from sofa center to computer desk right or exercise bike to the left with a 20 degree swivel and still see the screen head on. Not so great is tilt function that tilts BACK 6 degrees backwards but not forward. The forward tilt would help with any glare.
The sound is tinny if you are used to a home theater system, but not any worse than other tvs. Work great with my Sony sound system.
The wireless function works well and so does the Video on demand from several suppliers. The video on demand required a call to Sony help desk as the information from most suppliers didn't have instruction for this model that was just relatedness in late Feb. 2011. Sony kept tell me to choose and option for Enhanced Video but then new model doesn't have that option and is setup differently.
