When I got home and turned on TV at first it had a soft picture, not as sharp as other HD TV's, I had seen; was considering returning it. But thankfully I realised that the settings on TV were set on factory settings. After adjusting color and picture the TV looks great. Brought TV at BH for several hundred dollars less than other retailers. I think it was a bargain. Sound quality is not that great you have to install speakers, it also has access to internet. it's not built in you have to buy the extras. TV advertised as 240Hz but actually it is 120Hz, It does have motion-flow at 240 whatever that does waits to be seen. Overall I'm happy with this purchase and I feel it was worth every dollar. Just bought this tv two days ago and I hate it. After playing with the settings till then cows come home, I still can't get natural colour. Everything has a pinkish tone like an old CRTV ready for the grave. Everybody looks like they they have been painted rather than filmed and vision is very blurry with bleeding washed out colours. For example, sony skin tones are very unrealistic and the colour red has no variation but crimson and white's look grey, beige or pink.It reminds me of the way they fog out the faces of criminals on the news. Old movies which were filmed in high quality film come out terrible (increcibly blurry). High definition is good but that is about all. I watch only free to air broadcast TV and and some DVD's and they are so blurry they are unwatchable. All the other 5 crtv's and one small lcd tv in the house give a much clearer picture with more accurate colours. I kept the packaging but the store "Good Guys" in Loganholme refused to exchange it and I paid [$]. They said unless it is faulty they won't return it and since other people on other sites have made very similar complaints about this TV I can assume it is not faulty since HD is acceptable. It is just a bad design by all accounts of other people with similar criticisms of this model on other web sites.

I did a lot of research online, prior to choosing this model. The KDL40EX720 was one of the highest rated TV's in its size. The picture quality is crisp, even up close (unlike a 55" plasma we own). The internet feature really expands this TV's ability too. Just be aware that if you want to wirelessly use the internet feature, you have to buy the USB LAN Wireless Adapter UWA-BR100. It just plugs into a USB port on the back of the TV and you're all set. Overall, great TV, I'd highly recommend it.

I used this Sony 3D tv for full entertainment and it give you a full package..multi tasking is the bomb. You can Skype and watch tv or play video game... Bravia sync with my Sony receiver Blu ray player and ps 3 is simple and easy to deal with . The tv remote control handles everything well. One issue I had with this tv was installing my Skype camera and it was sorted easily by a software update . Other reviews says the speakers are not all that but what is the point of having a tv of this caliber and not have it connected to a home theater system ... All in all I totally recommend this tv to anyone who has passion for top of the line quality and entertainment .. In the feature I wish sony would give the consumer full control or options in what they want in picture and picture or picture in picture

As I stated in the headline its a great set when I'm receiving the proper signal which is in the morning and the evening.Most live sports usually comes in excellent.The picture is extremely sharp though I haven't hooked up the DVD yet and checked out the 3D picture.I would recommend buying this KDL40EX720 40inch T.V. as its currently selling for [$] here at B&H.It's a great deal.

Ive had the tv for about 4 days. Blu ray hd content looks good. However Comcast cable content varies from Sd to Hd. If Bh photo had a return policy on the tvs i would return it and get a newer Samsung. Maybe if you keep playing with the settings you will come up with something different. Tv just doesn't seems as colorful as a Samsung.
