If you pair the BD-D5300 with an optional USB adapter, it's capable of online connectivity, which allows you to browse the internet, search content on your TV or online, download and use apps on your TV, and access video on demand. You can also access BD-Live bonus contents on Blu-ray discs that support this function. This can include items related to the movie you're watching like previews or filmmaker chats.

I was looking for a replacement unit for the DVD-VCR used with a portable plasma display at our office and this unit fit the bill nicely. Since we don't really use VHS tapes anymore and more and more material is available on Blu-Ray, it made sense to do so. This unit has great features, had the connections we needed, was easy to setup, has an ethernet port on the back, and came with a great price.

This product provides an unbelieveable picture. I watched a DVD that I had seen many times before, but watching it on this blu-ray was like being on the set. I wasn't really watching the movie, but was looking at the clarity of all the different scenery. I've never seen anything like it before (except live action with my eyes), neither in a theater or on a television. It was like watching in-person live action through my window. I don't know if it's just this Samsung blu-ray or all blu-ray players, but this one definitely provides the best picture quality I've ever seen. Setup was simple too, just take it out of the box, set it on a shelf next to the TV, plug in an HDMI cable to it and plug it into your home theater and then begin watching the magic!

New home theater system and the Samsung Blu- ray player is a great addition to my other components.
The player is easy to operate and allows Internet connection for Netflicks movies and Youtube videos.
There is not one thing about this player that I do not like. I've had the player for three weeks and may home more extensive comments at a later date.
