Samsung's HT-D550 Home Theater System offers a receiver/player with digital surround sound, seamless functionality and wide connectivity including one HDMI output, at a price that makes a movie theater-like experience available to any budget.
The HT-D550 system offers four satellite speakers with a low-profile center channel and a powered sub-woofer backed by 1000W total power. 5.1 Channel Surround Sound audio processing and multi-channel Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS audio decoding creates a wider, more enveloping surround sound experience. The HDMI output upscales content to full 1080p, the new HD standard. Playable disc types include DIVX (including XVID), DVD, DVD±R, DVD±RW, CD DA, CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA, WMV and JPEG.
Other features include Anynet+ control of Samsung components from a single remote and Auto Sound Calibration (ASC), which matches the audio to your room's unique acoustics via the included calibration microphone. 8 DSP modes simulate the acoustic environments of a rock concert, theater, etc., thus enriching the soundstage and sense of place in the program material.
