The DVD player works great. Image quality is great, The CC is acceptabla. Sound is acceptable, but works much better with external speakers.
Easy to use. Battery lasts to watch a movie and some left. There is no warning as you near end of battery charge. (i wish it did to plug it in).

my main gripe is the screen resolution on this appears to be less than the 69 dollar dvd player I got at [...] so its not a great viewing experience when watching video or tv

I purchased this DVD/TV player to use the TV portion of it for power outages and severe weather. I live approximately 40 miles from the closest TV tower and I am unfortunately unable to pick up any stations. The DVD player portion of it is nice and will be useful on car trips. I feel the picture is nice expecially for being compact. I like that it came with 2 different external TV antennas (however living so far from the stations and being in the woods doesn't allow either to pick up any stations). The only cons I really see with this product is that the remote control that comes with it does not control the volume that I have found and the TV has to be in the "on" position to utilize the on/off button on the remote control. I also felt that the sound was a little quiet for viewing at a normal viewing distance. I did however like the fact that the player comes with a remote control, AC power adapter (household plug), DC power adapter (car charger), headphones, 2 TV antennas and an AV cable. The only thing I purchased was a case to contain it all in. Overall I feel it is a nice DVD player/TV that would be a great buy. If purchasing for the TV functionality, think about how far you are from the stations you are wishing to receive. I hope to get many years of at least watching movies out of it.

i like to take it outdoors and cottage country.
very clear picture, good battery life, impressive full array of cords, good digital t.v. tuner, very nice gloss black finish, can be used as digital t.v. tuner on analog monitor t.v.s
can't find anything wrong with it, even comes with two antennas.
