Nice TV at a great price. Buyers please note this tv does not swivel on it's base. I would pretty much only reccomend this for a bedroom.

Good picture, ok sound. The TV is missing some features that other HDTVs have: internet access. The price is good for a high quality TV.

Comments about Samsung LN32D450 32" LCD HDTV:
I streamline news and movies with hdmi cables and wireless only with this tv and was extremely happy with the picture even though it's only a 720 p. And I was very impressed with the sound and sound options,as far as any cons, the plastic that the base and frame are made of is highly susceptable to scuffing,I mean just barely touch it and it's scuffed.that mostly happens when you install the base.I have not had any trouble with this tv,remote or any installation issues..so,I'm happy with my purchase with b&h photo! And no,I was not paid to give this review,I paid to do it!

Comments about Samsung LN32D450 32" LCD HDTV:
Bought this TV to upgrade to digital television at our fishing camp and so far I've been very pleased. The picture is great! It even compares favorably to our 50" Samsung Plasma in terms of color and sharpness, and that's saying something. One of the first things we watched on it was the SEC championship football game, and I didn't see any of the blur or ghosting that I've seen on other LCD TVs. The fact that I got it at a great price is also a plus.

Comments about Samsung LN32D450 32" LCD HDTV:
Nice TV for sure but what surprised me is that the standard picture setting gave a flattened and stretched out image and I imagine all the newer LCD TVs do the same. The 16.9 picture ratio for these sets seems to deliver this distorted image whereas the 4.3 ratio of the older sets seems more a true image to my eyes. Digging into the picture size options in the menu one discovers the option to change to 4.3 or to a zoom view that both give a truer picture but the 4.3 cuts out a lot of the total screen and the zoom often cuts off a bit of the top and bottom of the image. Most people probably don't mind the distortion in the image but I couldn't get used to it, my brain didn't make the necessary adjustment. What a surprise to me though that these nice new and technologically advanced TV sets deliver a flattened and stretched out image and that we have to dig into the menu rather deeply to make a correction.

I have always loved Samsung quality in electronics, however, now I love it even more and would recommend it to others. The picture quality is great, easy set-up instructions, works wonderful with Direct TV's HD channels and perfect for a large bedroom. Highly recommend.

Comments about Samsung LN32D450 32" LCD HDTV:
I bought this TV for a kid at college. I started out looking at 19 or 26 inch TVs, but I decided the bigger 32" size would be better to have after graduation. It seems perfect--not too big for the room and certainly not too small!
In the 32 inch size, I had to choose between the LCD and LED versions. The main reasons I went with the LCD over the "newer, cooler" LED is that it was much cheaper, it had more connections, and the speaker system is double the size at 20W! I read reviews about the speaker systems on TV's being poor so the difference was a big deal.
If you sit the LCD and LED versions next to each other, you will notice the difference in size between the two, with the LED being both thinner in depth and width. I would only care if I had a VERY small space to put the TV, like a skinny mantle, then would definitely go with the LED version. There is also a noticeable difference in weight between both versions, with the LCD being much heavier. While the lighter LED is considered better, I felt the heavier LCD would be better to have if someone accidentally knocked the TV where the heavier weight would be an advantage. I don't move my TV's around enough to care about the lighter weight of the LED otherwise. Therefore, I am extremely happy with the LCD version.
The TV took only minutes to set up. The auto scan of channels made finding stations super easy. The picture through the university cable system was incredible which pleasantly surprised us.
I like the power buttons on the front of the TV in case we can't find the remote! Definitely a plus! I also like the easy access HDMI connection on the side. The other connections are on the back.
This is now my 4th Samsung TV. I looked at other brands before buying this Samsung, but reliability and picture quality keep bringing me back whenever I look at other brands. Love the TV!

Loving the Samsung although I've only had it for a month or so. Far better than the dismal LG which had awful sound and died after 3 years. Picture is great, sound is clear. Only 32" - wish it were larger but on HD it has great clarity. Would highly recommend but as I said, it's still new.

Comments about Samsung LN32D450 32" LCD HDTV:
This TV was purchased as a bedroom TV. I was interested in streaming movies.TV [...] was installed in a cinch. First the base, which took a few turns of the parts to figure where they attached. Then HDMI cable from satellite to TV and I was viewing the channels on this TV. I missed the manual and had to go to the internet to download it. This was a minus and I think manufacturers should include in the carton.Product was light enough I could pick it up.The one thing I found annoying may have nothing to do with the manufacturer. It has to do with the lack of a white balance circuit to automatically adjust image to the closest settings I set up using the video controls. Every time a new station is chosen or a broadcaster changes cameras the colors change from bluish to yellowish. I cannot be changing my settings every time the colors change. The repair facilities are very far if needed.Overall this is a good TV and has been in operation for nearly two weeks.
