This 37" Samsung is a great value for the money. The picture quality is excellent after only minor tweaking of the separate Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness, Color, and Tint settings. The television setup, and remote are rather easy, and intuitive to use (for a change), although the printed user manual is rather sparse. However there is an e-Manual inside the set which can be magically accessed by pushing that button on your remote. There are plenty of input/output USB/HDMI jacks although some are located behind the screen on the right side (looking from the front) of the set. This television runs at 60HZ, not really that important as 120HZ is only somewhat better in showing "less blur" in sports programming. Like many other LCD televisions the picture quality diminishes if watching from less than a 45 degree angle. The speakers located in the back are above average for a television and the sound quality can be adjusted to your own taste or run thru an external sound system. In addition to an older VHS, DVD player, I am streaming via a networking router from another room, no problem. The stand alone design is beautiful, does not dominate my living room, and the base is sturdy.

The TV set up was extremely easy and the image was outstanding. The remote was easy to understand. I do not have cable or satellite and have had trouble in the past with good reception. This TV model has better broadcast reception than my older model.

Easy set up,but cant plug my TV ears into the tv. Factory settings for color where way to exaggerated,have been trying to tweak them down but just cant get a balance especially on face tones.I use a 37" to conserve space,the see thru border is a useless addition.Compared to my last visio 1080 that only lasted 3 yrs until the picture started distorting, the visio had a much better picture with true color but poor sound. Samsung is a good name but this seems to be their substandard model. Like the swivel base,dont like its lack of convenient connections. The mute icon is annoying, instead of sitting in the corner it moves up and down in the screen which is distracting.The remote is way to big.Picture motion is jerky & transitions are pixilated.

We've had issues with other brands (LG) not displaying specific laptops output (HP 8440p), but this Samsung doesn't skip a beat.
