I was careful to read a lot of TV reviews before I purchased this Samsung unit. I just set it up yesterday, but, so far, previous reviewers seem to have steered me the right way.
First of all, it was really well packaged before shipped (FREE) via UPS. In fact, it arrived the day after I ordered it without me having to pay a fee for such speedy delivery. (I live in NJ. That probably helps.)It was in perfect condition when I took it out of the box.
It was also easy to set up. All I had to do was use a screwdriver to insert 8 screws to attach the included TV stand. I plugged it in, connected the cable, turned it on and easily set it up through the on-screen menu. It was less than an hour from opening the box to sitting back to enjoy the Antiques Roadshow. My one small disappointment was the sound volume, not quality. It seems a bit low.

This is a wonderful TV which just fits inside our existing cabinet. The remote control and menus are intuitive and easy to use. The picture is excellent, great colors, contrast and sharpness!

having bought over $10,000 worth of photography equipment from them i figured let me give them a shot at the Samsung 40" unit i wanted. not only did they beat everyones price but they cleaned and carefully open box and wrap set with air packing so i have no worries with shipping. they also put edge and corner supports outside of factory box and band them on. no way these get any type of shipping damage.
now for the set absolutely perfect picture and after a little tweaking i have the set i can be very happy with for years to come. it replaced a Sony xbr series which was a 225lb beats to throw out!
going to replace my Sony surround and first place i look is av forum for recommendations on what i want and then to b and h to order it!
seriously you couldn't deal with nicer or more knowledgeable people.

Exceptional value. We wanted a tv that our grandchildren [10, 8, 4]could use for games such as Wii, educational dvds and movies. Out of the box we connected to surround sound system and turned on tv and had outstanding picture and easy to use functionality for all of the functions that we desired. I bought this TV for my bedroom due to the smaller TV size of 40". I do not regret this purchase at all. The TV looks awesome on the dresser or on any wall - perfect for watching right before falling asleep. My wife loves the tv so much that she would rather watch TV in our bedroom than in the living room now. Great picture and sound quality. This is my 3rd Samsung TV - after another great product - I will always be a loyal customer!
