Comments about Samsung PN43D450 43" Plasma HDTV:
So far so great. Rich blacks and a beautiful picture. At first I wasn't blown away until I jumped into the settings of the TV and made some adjustments. And now it pops. Going with 1080 in my opinion is a waste of money. I got great value for this TV and it looks as good as any of my friends 1080p TV's and plasma certainly beats LED for richness of color and warmth. Besides 99% of broadcast is still on 720p and that won't change for at least three more years (I work in television - I know this) The only difference will be with blue ray discs which are true 1080p. Even then the difference is negligible. 720 is more than adequate for now, and plasma certainly beats LED in my opinion. All in all, a tremendous value.

Comments about Samsung PN43D450 43" Plasma HDTV:
Plasma screens almost died but seem to be making a comeback, and this Samsung screen has great picture quality over and above most other 720p screens, with the 600Hz subfield motion it has to be seen to be believed for the money you are paying.

Comments about Samsung PN43D450 43" Plasma HDTV:
My first flat screen TV was a 32" Samsung. I loved everything about it. A year or so later I got the Samsung blu-ray player as well.. Which just adds on to my love for this tv. I watch my Netflix and Hulu on my tv and loved it! When I got my own place I decided to put the 32" into my bedroom and get a bigger one for the living room. A guy at ABC Warehouse recommended the Samsung 43" Plasma tv. I was skeptical because it was a Plasma so I went to Best Buy for a second opinion. The guy told me that it was an awesome TV and definitely worth getting. So I did. I loveeee it! I got the new Samsung blu-ray player to go with it and couldn't be happier. The clarity of blu-rays is astounding. It's crystal clear. And I've seen friends tv that seem to lag a lot, but not this tv. Would definitely recommend. I also tend to fall sleep with the TV on so I set the timer, and when the TV shuts off it also shuts off the Blu-Ray player since theres no more active connection between the two. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I prefer plasma over LCDs and this is a good one.Since 99% of our viewing is broadcast the 720 resolution is perfect. A good TV at a good price.

Am not really a TV person so I guess my review might be considered as a layman's review.
I've connected a DVD player to this TV and I think it's the best picture I've ever seen anywhere. Even compared to my friend's 1080p bravia.

Comments about Samsung PN43D450 43" Plasma HDTV:
Use: Family viewing with Blue Ray, up-converted standard DVD, Charter Cable. Has fixed panel 1280X720 pixels per [@] Exceptional comb filter and up-conversion circuitry makes SD from Charter Cable look like DVD. Standard DVD up-converted looks like HD and 3:2 pull-down from Blue Ray 1080P is outstanding. Digital signals produce a picture so good that it would require measuring equipment to take issue. Colors appear accurate and black level is very, very black...like the black surround on the TV. Estimate contrast exceeds 2M:1 (Certainly looked awesome with Lord of the Rings Blue Ray). Picture has surprisingly good depth to it. Comparable to Vizio XVT3SV and Sony Bravia 3 quality picture. Sound a real surprise with "center channel" quality at high volume. Samsung did a great job with this TV.Only deficiency is that there is just 2 HDMI and 2 component connectors but in every performance regard, this TV is a comparable to Panasonic 1080P "S" series. Terrific value purchase!
